What is coaching?
Coaching is all about being and feeling the best you can and achieving in life what you're really hoping for - and it's for anyone! Anyone who wants to make changes or make progress.
It is also for people who may have started already but have become stuck or stalled. And if you don't know where to start, I can help with that too!

Let's then think about turning things around (perhaps even upside-down!) and challenge the status quo (could this include yourself?). What will you see? How will it feel? And what will you do?
Of course, change and progress require action as well as thought, reflection, exploration, inspiration and creativity. So, together, we'll establish some new (or clearer) aims and goals and jointly determine how best you're going to move forwards with them.
As you implement your new plan, I'll provide encouragement, a sounding board, accountability and congratulations. I will also provide impartial, non-judgement and sometimes (gently!) challenging observations and feedback. We'll review progress, assess (and appreciate!) all the learnings and enjoy all the a-ha moments. I can assist you to address setbacks and practical obstacles too.
I'm a Solution Focused, Cognitive Behavioural, Motivational, Mindful and NLP coach. This means I can also help you overcome those psychological obstacles (unhelpful and hampering thoughts, feelings and behaviours) that we often encounter along the way to achievement and success.
Furthermore, you will get to know yourself better as a result of coaching and find yourself even more prepared for future aims and aspirations!

I believe that coaching begins best with a NO OBLIGATION face-to-face taster session/chemistry meeting and this is the first step in my 1-1 services. I introduce myself and you tell me a bit more about your current situation. All in confidence of course.
The quality of the relationship between you and your coach is important to the success of the coaching programme.
If, after chatting, we think we can work well together and meet each other's expectations, we'll start looking at a coaching agreement and programme. This is likely to capture 'why coaching and how come now?', the outcomes you're hoping for, the location and frequency of our meetings, roles and responsibilities, confidentiality, payment terms, cancellation terms and service evaluation.

My monthly outdoor group sessions - Fresh Air Fridays in Newport
Welcome to #FreshAirFridays! Your opportunity to stop, relax, recharge and explore how to create the life, work and wellbeing you want - all whilst being outdoors in glorious nature with like-minded others. Each session contains a different wellbeing related conversation theme and regular segments such as guided breathing and relaxation.
Come along to my monthly 3 hour session in Newport on the first Friday of every month 10am-1pm at the RSPB Wetlands Nature Reserve. Or my alternative venue if the coastal path is due to be a bit TOO fresh. We go out in all weathers!
Booking is required to participate and all you need to bring along is yourself (friends welcome too) and a flask of hot water for the tea break. Some people choose to bring along a bottle of water too. Come along and see what we do for yourself!

I work with private clients, employers and service providers. I have been a preferred supplier of coaching to Macmillan Professionals since 2015 and my other collaborations/experience includes Shaw Trust, Expanding Horizons Housing Association, DWP Jobcentre Plus (Work Psychologist), Rethink Mental Illness, NHS Mental Health Services and NHS Primary Care.
My MSc research explored the successful return to work journeys of people who were previously on long term sick leave. The findings are available on my website.
Not all but many of my clients have been people managing some anxiety, depression, a physical health condition/disability or neurodiversity (i.e. Dyslexia) alongside life and work. Please notice: Coaching is not a substitute for counselling or other talking therapies or professional supervision (for Health and Social Care, Counselling & Coaching professionals) however they can run alongside each other if appropriate to do so.

I'm a member of The British Psychological Society's (BPS) Division of Occupational Psychology, the BPS Special Group in Coaching Psychology (SGCP), The Association for Coaching, Fresh Air Fridays Facilitators and hold Professional Indemnity Insurance.
I keep up to date with the evolving world of psychology and coaching and evaluate my services by inviting client feedback. I subscribe to my own self-reflection and practice development via 1-1 professional coaching supervision and group peer practice.

1-1 coaching sessions - typically a morning or afternoon together for face to face sessions

Coaching partnerships: from £275 per month (connecting weekly via a mix of face to face, telephone & email coaching)
My monthly 3 hour Fresh Air Fridays session in Newport
First time FREE.
Followed by £25-£28 per month depending on whether you choose the Fresh Air Fridays Annual Membership (with additional benefits) or Pay As You Go. Paying your annual membership via a one-off payment is £250.
Are you a Tempo volunteer? Spend your credits at Fresh Air Fridays - come along to any session for 3 Tempo Time Credits.
Currently receiving a low wage or income?
I offer 'Pay What You Want' sessions in Newport for those currently receiving a low wage or income. Outdoor and coffee lounge 1-1 coaching available. Offering you the discretion to pay what you wish.
Payment & cancellation terms
Payment in advance is kindly required to secure your coaching/Fresh Air Fridays session(s) and accepted via Bank Transfer and Standing Order.
30 day payment terms for 1-1 coaching invoices to a business or organisation.
Two working days notice is required for the re-arrangement of 1-1 coaching sessions.
