Coaching is about empowering you to make positive changes in your life, taking you from where you are now to where you want to be.

Training, qualifications & experience

My journey into coaching began when I was made redundant in December 2011. My confidence took a dip and I decided that it was time to put some thought into what I ultimately wanted to do for my career. During my research, I found a coach and decided to sign up for some sessions.

The coaching sessions really helped me establish the career that I wanted and also helped my general confidence, especially in my ability and the skills that I have.

I offer a free consultation to discuss your needs. This can be carried out face to face (in Leeds or Wetherby), or by Skype or by phone. At the end of the consultation I will suggest the different coaching packages that I can offer to best suit your needs.

I generally recommend a package of 6 sessions to maximise the benefit of coaching. A package of 6 sessions is £300 and each session will last approximately 45 minutes.

Jennifer Gyebi-Ababio – Being coached by Matt has been very useful and empowering. On the four occasions that he coached me his questioning style provoked and opened up options that I would not have been able to attain by myself. I particularly found useful the way he provided me with thinking time through silence so I was able to come up with things that I never would have thought of……and then he would say what else again!!

Prior to the coaching sessions I felt overwhelmed with life as I had so many things going on and also found myself in unfamiliar territory for which I felt I had no control. I needed coaching to help me become more focused and see things for what they are without dwelling on it and feeling powerless.

Key things that I have learnt through my coaching is that I in addition to having an overall goal – I need to create smaller manageable goals and targets to help me gradually achieve my ultimate goal. It feels far less daunting to me in this way and I’m able to set myself achievable targets by considering what may get in the way and whether it is something I really want. I feel more motivated, engaged and in control of my life.

Matt’s coaching has really empowered me to be a ‘considered driver’ of my life’ and noticing and considering various options that I may have available to me at any cross road so I can manoeuvre through life and achieve my goals/
