About us

I'm Lowri, based in London. I wanted to become a coach to be able to offer the support and guidance I wish I'd had when I went through my own quarter-life crisis. After graduating from university I had no idea what I wanted to do and didn’t want to pursue the degree I'd spent the last 4 years completing. I didn’t get the graduate scheme everyone was telling me to apply for, and I felt lost and lacking in motivation.

I want to be able to coach people like myself who feel they need someone to talk to about these common daily struggles. I will offer the support and guidance to enable you to create the life YOU want for yourself.

I have a degree in Social Science and a Diploma in Counselling, however, I want to stress the difference in coaching and counselling. I often believe counselling comes with a stigma especially for young people, unlike counselling which is helping people understand their past, coaching is forward looking and helps you clarify your goals and plan how to achieve them. I will provide you with the space to work on whatever you feel would benefit you and create the life you want to lead.

I have a contemporary approach to coaching and with my client focus being young people I believe I am able to relate and empathise with many of the issues which arise in a young person's life. Today society poses many challenges for young people including, social media, career choice, relationships and many more areas which can be overwhelming, especially at these pivotal ages.

All my sessions can be online or in person (depending on location). I am open to discussion around what environment would best suit my client.

Other areas of coaching we deal with

“What can I expect to do during a coaching session”
Each session is client led. As the coach, I am there to guide you but not to do the work for you. In the initial session we will work through a ‘wheel of life’ in which you will be asked to rate different areas of your current life eg ‘emotional wellbeing’, ’health and fitness’ ,’relationships’ , ’career’. Following that you will set a goal you want to work towards over the 6 sessions. In each of the following session we will look at setting milestones and action plans to take in order to achieve the goal.

"Im not sure I can afford coaching at the moment”
Investing in yourself is one of the most important things you can do. We don’t question when we buy a new outfit for a party to make us feel good.We happily buy a Starbucks every morning before work to give us a boost or pay our Netflix subscription so we can watch our favourite series. Just like clothes and coffee, coaching is a form of self care, something which will only benefit our life and our futures. Therefore I believe you can’t put a price on self-improvement.

"What are the benefits of coaching for a young person"
I believe the popularity of coaching comes from the fact it's very much forward thinking. Counselling often comes with some stigma attached, and talking about the past may not always be useful for some people. Coaching is all about the future and improving yourself. It's particularly attractive to young people who may feel a sense of purposelessness in early adulthood years as it can provide them with space to talk through options and goals for their future life without pressure or judgment.
