Louise Rickard - LONE PINE

Lone Pine provides leadership and development coaching for personal and professional success.
I coach for organisations and privately on all sorts of issues to do with life and work: I have been coaching in private practice for over ten years and have well in the thousands of coaching hours.
I am continually bowled over by the wonderful variety of life journeys and choices my clients take and the resourcefulness, sparkle, humour and integrity they show.
Having coached for many years now I know that each person's journey and situation is wholly unique - and that there are also patterns and similarities in the journeys and choices that different people make at different times in their lives and careers.
In my coaching I aim to combine a depth of care with creative psychological insight and a practical outlook. I work experientially and dialogically and I bring to coaching conversations my human-ness, my curiosity and sense of fun, my life and coaching experience and expertise, and my support, intuition and challenge.
My typical client? I'm not sure there is one! I have worked with people who are leaders and directors, entrepreneurs, engineers, emergency services staff, business people, administrators, lawyers, students, sports people, poets, academics, doctors, teachers and stay-at-home parents.
Almost all the people I coach are self-starters, thinky, and concerened about the world and their place in it; and a very sizeable majority of the people I coach are Oxbridge graduates or high-flyers.
As you can see from my testimonials I have extensive experience with coaching leaders and academics.
But don't worry about whether you "fit" - who ever you are I will meet you where you're at right now- and we'll start from there...
The coach-coachee relationship needs to be one where you feel comfortable so the best thing is to pick up the phone or book a first coaching session - if after half an hour you feel it's not going to work then I will reimburse you the cost of the session- so there's no risk!
Note that while I work with people on all kinds of coaching and deeper coach/counselling issues - I am a primarily a coach and so my rule of thumb is that clients do have to be functioning and operational on a day to day level, otherwise other support pathways may be more appropriate in the first instance. I am happy to discuss whether coaching would be right for you at this time.
WHERE I WORK
I coach in person across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, London, and Cardiff / South Wales, and via phone, facetime or skype just about anywhere!
I use Skype and face-time a lot for coaching, because it avoids the extra travel time and expense for clients: Clients can also chop and change between face to face and skype/phone to fit their diary - Everyone is different and I offer flexible coaching to recognize that.
HOW I WORK:
I help you understand your strengths, your aims, your values, your impact on others, your blind spots, and your patterns; and how you can use this awareness and information positively within your everyday working and private life.
After the first session, Clients can sign up for a number of sessions per month- just like a gym membership. This works out the cheapest and simplest way, but you can of course also still continue to book single sessions- we can discuss any concerns you have about signing up with a monthly membership during the first coaching session. Everyone is different -so my aim is to provide a range of options so that you can choose what will best suit you and your issue.
The booking system is online and automatic - and you pay online using STRIPE - so its very simple to use- you can book, pay and even cancel or reschedule online at the click of a button.
If you are unsure whether coaching is right for you just now, or just want to talk over anything I am happy to speak with you.
Is it a quick fix? Its up to you really. Most clients see me for about 6 - 9 months, depending on their issue, availability and the frequency of coaching that suits their life and work. But some see me for only one or two sessions to resolve a pressing issue. Many then come back and have coaching again as and when they feel they need to as their situation changes and develops over the next few years.

Clients pay for an initial no risk first coaching session which is 90 minutes. they then sign up for a monthly contract -like a gym membership: you can choose between 1 and four coaching sessions a month, depending on your issue, the urgency of that issue, and what available time you have to dedicate to coaching. Prices work out at roughly £50 per hour depending on the package you choose.
