How coaching can help you
The benefits of coaching are potentially huge for you, including:
- increased confidence
- less overwhelm
- making you aware of your blind spots
- challenge to your thinking and attitudes
- keep you moving forward with your intentions.
My training focused primarily on transformational coaching, helping clients to make deep changes. Since then my coaching approach has broadened out to include strengths-based techniques and looking at the stories we tell ourselves.
As a trained listener, I use my active listening skills to reflect back to my clients their thoughts and feelings, which is very powerful for people as it can open up new awareness and understanding of their situation.
Work-wise I've had experience in coaching people who were wanting to get into employment, as well as people wanting coaching to make changes to allow them to stay in work. Coaching is not just for your career/job though! I've helped people through transitions such as moving house and fitting into a new city.
How I Coach
My clients have described me as having a warm, gentle and professional approach to my coaching. I enable my clients to identify their options and what they can do, as well as providing accountability by using transformative, person-centred and strengths-focused coaching.
I believe that paying attention to your agenda and really listening to you is crucial in developing trust with you and for you to get the most out of your sessions with me.

Training, qualifications & experience
After working in my first graduate job in the IT department at HSBC, as a systems analyst, I retrained as a coach in 2017 and set about gaining my ACC accreditation from the ICF. I achieved my ACC accreditation in December 2018 and since then have worked with individuals to achieve a wide range of goals.
Most recently I was a coach on a health and employment trial where I worked with clients who had mild to moderate mental and/or physical health problems and needed support either finding work or staying in their job. I'm now a coach with the Know You more community and I'm really excited to be coaching young leaders who've completed the UK101 programme.
UK International Coach Federation
The International Coach Federation is the professional association for personal and business coaches worldwide.
Coaches can become accredited by the ICF, who have three grades of membership: Associate Certified Coach (ACC), Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and Master Certified Coach (MCC), with the different categories standing for different levels of training and experience. Master Certified Coach's have achieved a substantial level of training and experience.
Members of ICF are accountable to a professional code of ethics.

Here are some comments from past clients:
H Fields - Personal Trainer, Sheffield
Lindsey opened doors that I didn't even know needed unlocking!
Winfried S - Business Coach, Germany
Lindsey is a very professional coach. She keeps a very positive and warm atmosphere. She is an excellent listener, giving her clients enough time to explain their thoughts without interruption. Based on that she formulates to the point open questions which allow clients to come up with their own solutions. I enjoyed all sessions with her a lot, all sessions were very helpful.
W Feltrup - Physiotherapist and Hypnotherapist, Sheffield
I was unhappy in my job and wanted to change my working life. I wasn't sure what to expect with coaching or how it would work. Lindsey asks exploring questions and helps to clarify your thoughts. I now have a much more satisfying working life and happy with the results. Thank you.
Ann G - Nurse, Sheffield
Focusing my mind on one thing at a time has been beneficial.
Gill C - Volunteer, Sheffield
Lindsey has met with me on a monthly basis during this period and I have been grateful for her help in setting goals that were realistic. For example, I have come to state: My computer is a servant to me, and not a master.’ Also, when planning a Family Celebration, the sessions with Lindsey have enabled me to pace myself, to take time to think through the issues and to leave time for preparation.
