How do I coach?
Through attentive listening and questioning, I offer a person centered service designed for each individual client. My aim is to create an environment that promotes trust, clarity, motivation and space to explore ideas and solutions. Using simple tools and techniques, I aim to help you find the solutions you need to make your desired change.
I currently work via Zoom and will continue to use the platform while COVID restrictions are in place. All my work is confidential and I access supervision as required by my professional body.
The seed for my journey into coaching was sown many years ago as a teenager. I was fascinated a television program about a life coach who helped people to deal with the problem of overwhelming clutter in their homes. The coach worked so sensitively with her clients and with real compassion for their situation, I was inspired.
This seed of inspiration was finally allowed to grow when I decided to leave a long career in teaching. I knew just what I wanted to do. So, here I am!
I hope to bring the many skills I have relied on as a teacher to my coaching: having expectations of the abilities of my clients, looking at each person as an individual on their own journey, not making judgments. I want these qualities to be evident through my coaching work.

I was at a crossroads and feeling the pressures of life following serious illness, when I realised that I might have to make a change. Kate enabled me to reach an informed decision about my future. The one to one Zoom sessions with Kate were mindful, rewarding and life changing. Kate's manner was relaxed, she communicated clearly how to use the tools that enabled me to define the areas of my life that were of greatest importance to me. The 'wheel' particularly stands out as being helpful in allowing me to highlight important aspects of my life that I had not previously been aware of. I had not previously identified some of the resources available to me and Kate's coaching sessions allowed me to do this. I can highly recommend Kate's professionalism. The sessions were just the breakthrough I needed, and I now feel the benefits in my day-to-day life. By bringing me back in touch with my inner self, my intuition and my liberalizing abilities, I can connect so much better now with the reality of the world around me. I have found my feet again!

I have over twenty five years of primary teaching. I have also worked in care homes for the elderly, giving me experience of a broad spectrum of life and the challenges it can bring.

Free initial telephone or online session
The first call/online session of 30 minutes is free. Coaching sessions last approximately 1 hour and can be booked as a set of 3 for £120 or 5 sessions for £190. Individual sessions can be booked for the cost of £50.
I am available week days 9:30 - 4:30 and Tuesday and Wednesday evenings 6:00- 8:00
