About me

If you're feeling lost, stuck in your career or are struggling to manage everything on your plate then I can help. As a certified Co-Active Coach and NLP practitioner I've coached many individuals through major life and work transitions such as career changes, redundancy, promotions, returning to work after maternity leave or long term illness and loss of loved ones. I'm also a qualified Mental Health First Aider with experience of working with people with a range of diagnoses including anxiety, OCD and depression.

I believe we are all leaders in life and work, regardless of our titles, and I love working with people to uncover their values, hone their sense of purpose and to create a strategy to bring their life and work into alignment with what really matters and brings out the best in them.

After fourteen years in the advertising industry in London I drastically changed course in my own career and followed my passion for developing people and started my business, Second Chapter.

I support my clients in building the confidence and courage to throw off the shackles of how they feel they ‘should’ be living, working and leading and to create success and impact on their own terms.

Some words from recent clients:

‘Working with you has been such an enlightening and inspiring experience. In a short amount of time, you've provided me with a variety of easily executable tools, that after just a couple of minutes, can totally transform my mood and my perspective of myself and my capabilities. And the best part is that everything is sourced from within myself, but you taught me how to access and channel this beneficial mindset.

Even though we communicated through a screen, I could feel your kindness and warmth as if we were in the same room, and it made me feel completely at ease. I always left your sessions feeling happy, inspired and motivated, and I am very glad to have had this experience. I'm excited to continue practicing the exercises you introduced to me, and implementing the tools into my daily life. Thank you for clarifying my muddled thoughts, validating them, and championing me!’
Leah Bowen, Retailer

‘The coaching I have had from Kate has genuinely been the most valuable part of my 12 week course. I have been able to look honestly at my own internal biases and be empowered to change them. I could not recommend this method of coaching enough; it has completely opened my eyes to how empowered I am to deliver my own results.’
Sam, Officer, Royal Navy

A friend of mine recommended Kate to me as I was struggling with my career and being on long-term furlough. I was questioning my future, what I wanted, who I was (all the big questions!) and feeling pretty lost in the process. Kate’s sessions not only helped me re-connect with a part of myself I felt I’d lost, but they taught me how to align vulnerability with strength, which has been invaluable for me moving forward. She cultivates a space that is safe and supportive, where you can be completely open and honest about how you’re feeling. After seeing Kate I have more clarity and direction in my career and I see things through a different lens; one that is kinder, clearer and much more confident.
