About me

I am Kate Cusack and I am a life and career coach. I believe that everyone deserves to live their happiest and most fulfilling life, and am passionate about working with people from all walks of life in their pursuit to achieve this.

Are you:

  • Craving more balance and less stress in life?
  • Full of energy to pursue a new career, but unsure which direction to take or how to get started?
  • Feeling your life could be more meaningful and satisfying but unsure what is missing?
  • Emerging from or going through a significant life change and finding it a challenge to navigate?
  • A committed parent of young children who is looking for ways to make life less stressful and more enjoyable?
  • Feeling that you are full of potential for growth but are not currently fulfilling this?
  • Desiring more happiness and satisfaction in your relationships?
  • Wanting to feel more confident in yourself and your ability?

My coaching can help with all these challenges, and many more areas of life.

Through a series of one-to-one collaborative and purposeful conversations, my coaching provides a supportive and focussed space, and slice of uninterrupted time, to identify what you need to really live your best and most satisfying life, and discover the path you need to get there.

Life coaching

Life coaching gives you the rare opportunity to pause the rest of your busy life and focus solely on what is happening for you now, and what you need to live your best and happiest life, today and in the future. In me, you will find a supportive partner who will discuss and brainstorm with you, will support, challenge, encourage and empower you to identify what change is needed, and how to move forward with that change.

Career coaching

We spend so much of our time working, yet many of us feel we are not getting as much satisfaction and fulfilment from our career as we would like. My career coaching programme provides an opportunity to complete innovative exercises and have reflective discussions which provide clarity on what your skills are, what motivates and inspires you, and what you need from your work to feel truly happy and satisfied in your career. Once you have clarity on these things, we will work together to create an achievable action plan to move you forward towards career satisfaction.

  • How long is a coaching session?

My coaching sessions are usually 1 hour long.

  • Where does coaching take place?

I can see you at my home office in Brighton, or for clients based outside the Brighton area I conduct sessions on the telephone or using Skype/Zoom.

  • How much does coaching cost?

Please contact me for details on my fees, as coaching packages can be tailor-made for your individual needs.

  • How many sessions will I need?

This may differ for each client depending on what is going on for you, and a set number of sessions can be agreed before we start working together if you would like. Career coaching is usually 10-12 sessions.

  • How do I pay for coaching?

Payment can be made by bank transfer, by PayPal or in cash.

  • How do I go about starting coaching?

Contact me to arrange a free consultation, either on the phone, Skype or at my home office near Preston Park in Brighton. If you decide you would like to work with me, we can book you in for regular coaching sessions.

  • How is coaching different from counselling?

Whereas counselling looks at the root cause of trauma or distress and often delves into the past, coaching is forward-focused and looks at what needs to be done to move forward, rather than looking back. Whilst there may be some reflection involved in coaching work, this will only be touched upon in order to understand what needs to be done to progress today and in the future.

I would love to hear from you!

Please contact me for more information or to arrange a free consultation.

Further information

“When I met Kate I was feeling really stuck. I had been through a really difficult time and I knew I didn’t want things to go back to the way they were before. Life coaching gave me the confidence to realise that what I wanted to achieve was possible and provided me the space to focus on ‘how’ I could move forwards. It also ensured that I established support systems to maintain those changes. I felt that Kate really ‘heard’ my story, therefore her input was very personalised and her support invaluable.”

Lucy, August 2017

“I approached Kate to coach me just before I returned to work from maternity leave. I wanted to progress my career but I was concerned about finding the right balance between my work and family life and I wanted to be happy in both.

The coaching sessions were amazing! Kate had a lot of energy and focus and created a relaxed and collaborative environment so I felt totally at ease from day one. Kate used a range of tools and techniques to help me unlock and decipher information that had been muddled in my head for years!

I assumed I would feel more confident and happier after these sessions but I gained so much more than that - I now have clarity about what really matters to me and I feel driven and empowered to ensure I'm in a work environment where my motivators are being met and I am playing to my professional strengths.

Kate introduced me to powerful tools that will help me ensure I'm living by my values and ultimately I'm getting the right balance between work and family life. I can utilise these tools for the rest of my life so it's by far the best investment I've ever made for my family. My only regret is that I didn't approach Kate sooner!”

“Working with Kate helped guide me through the most traumatic period of my life to date.

I had a lot of big decisions to make and found myself stuck in limbo, not sure at all what my next steps could or should be. With Kate’s help I could assess all my options, structure my goals and move forward with confidence.  When the inevitable self-doubt crept in Kate encouraged and gave me some strong guidance at times and was always a phone call away to help. With her coaching and direction, I could come to terms with and embrace some huge transitions in my life.

In summary, Kate has helped enable me to transform the worst period of my life and turn it into the foundations of which I can build a positive future. I will be forever grateful.”

Matt, July 2017

“As a coach, Kate is professional, friendly, understanding, encouraging, efficient, energetic, and caring.

She is an excellent listener, and had lots of brilliant ideas and tactics of simple strategies to help me cope under difficult and stressful circumstances. These made a huge impact and also helped increase my confidence.”
