About me

Imagine having someone who is totally devoted to your success and who will believe in you and all that you are capable of. Through one to one coaching you can find ways to reduce stress, improve your emotional wellbeing and find ways of getting more of what you want out of life.

In the busy lives that we all lead these days it is often easy to become so drawn into work, domestic or relationship issues, feeling pressurised to be all things to all people, that we often become just a blur of activity and lose sight of who we truly are and what we really want out of life. We may make attempts to try and change things but often things seem too frightening or too challenging so we usually end up settling for what we have rather than daring to go deeper and reconnect ourselves with our innate wisdom and power.

How can transformative coaching help?

I believe that we are all unique so I offer my clients a truly personalised coaching experience. Unlike counselling or other types of therapy, transformative coaching starts from where you are and helps you to move forward in your life. I work with my clients in a way that enables them uncover some of their unhelpful thoughts or self-limiting beliefs and find new ways of looking at these. I work from the premise that none of us are broken and in need of fixing but rather that we all have whatever we need within us and are all capable of finding it in order to get more out of life and to feel a greater sense of happiness and well-being. By spending time reconnecting with what already lies inside us my clients often find that goals or ambitions they once thought were too difficult to achieve suddenly become easy and change becomes effortless.

My Story

After a long and very successful career in education where I was always pushing myself to achieve more, I suddenly found myself at a crossroads. Ever the perfectionist and always wanting to be in control I came to a point where I could continue to live with the everyday stress and fluctuating levels of anxiety that this seemed to bring me, or choose a different way of living. It wasn’t an easy decision, as I realised how much of my self-esteem was tied up with my work, but it is one that I finally chose to take. Nearly three years later, I have no regrets as the quality of my life is so much better.  I have always been interested in the field of psychology so it seemed like a natural choice to follow this further. All my studying and qualifying as a transformative coach has certainly contributed to my current peaceful state of mind. However, the most significant difference for me has been my understanding of the underlying principles behind the human experience. It is these principles that have brought me more happiness, motivation, calm, resourcefulness, fun, joy, confidence, wisdom and resilience than I have ever experienced. Through coaching conversations, I now want to help others explore these principles so that they can experience the same.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have been interested in the field of self development and human potential for many years, particularly as consequence of a previous career in education. I have studied positive psychology, behavioural psychology, cognitive behavioural coaching and Neuro-Linguistic programming both through my training as a coach and through on-going professional studies before gaining my I.C.F. accredited Diploma in transformative coaching with the Animas Institute. Over the last year I have been developing a greater understanding of the fastest-growing psychology on the planet, it is increasingly being shared with business-people and prisoners, sports-people and health-care professionals, CEO’s and children. It’s known by several names: Psychology of Mind, The Three Principles, Innate Health & Well-Being, or Principle-Based Psychology.

Other qualifications include a B.Ed, M.A. and certificates in Group Coaching and Existential Coaching.

I currently charge £65 per hour long session. If clients would like to work over a longer period of time then I offer a reduced rate for bookings of five or more sessions.
