Mindfulness and NLP are the tools I found to bring true joy, fulfilment and self-mastery to my life and I want to help others enjoy the same wonderful benefits.

Having worked with children and young adults for the past twenty years, I have an affinity with people at this stage of life, as well as a strong desire to assist them in making the most of their resources to get the happy life we all dream of. Why wait? There are many pressures on young people nowadays, yet the possibilities are endless. It makes perfect sense to get them off to the best possible start.
However, NLP offers a range of tools to run your brain better whatever your age. When you understand and work with the mechanisms of the brain, thoughts improve, you get to choose your mood (so make it a great one!) and decisions get better and better.
Mindfulness opens up space to experience the senses fully right now. In a fast-paced world where we are told we need all sorts of things and must do this, that and the other thing to be 'successful', the ability just to 'be' gets lost. Simple moments noticed take on a rich significance. Or not. Yet, somehow things improve.
Training, qualifications & experience
I was on a very familiar trajectory - a well-established teaching career, married for 15 years, bringing up a daughter and a son, not taking particularly good care of myself - when, BOOM! it all blew up in my face. A series of events imposed massive changes on nearly every aspect of my identity, my lifestyle and my relationships. I got to a point where I could drown in an ocean of self-pity and rage, or take ownership of my life and start thriving. I had counselling to help me regain my stability, then it was coaching, mindfulness and NLP that brought me fully back to life.
As part of my work as a secondary school English teacher, I trained with Provide as a workplace Health Champion and became particularly interested in promoting well-being to maintain good mental health in staff and students. I also completed the Leading from the Middle (NCSL) program which trains participants in coaching and mentoring strategies to empower others. When working as a one-to-one tutor, coaching and NLP have proven to be at least as valuable as subject knowledge in assisting students to reach their learning goals.
