Janus Wellbeing - Jennifer Collins Mental Wellbeing Coach
Hello. Unsure what support you need? Let me help you figure it out, together. The beauty of my practice is recognising your individualisation and tailoring how I can help through a holistic approach encompassing coaching, counselling, CBT and wellbeing. We're people, we don't fit into one neat little box! You might want support with your career or personal development, or are lacking in confidence or are experiencing low self-esteem and I can absolutely help you with that, however as human beings we have a range of physiological and psychological needs that we must ensure are satisfied on your journey to self-fulfilment. As a Mental Wellbeing Coach I can ensure we explore so much more in our time together, saving you precious time and money.
What I bring as your Mental Wellbeing Coach
Until a change in career in 2019 I had worked 30 years in corporate business and I’ve experienced first hand how hard it is at times to get the work/life balance just right. I’ve faced redundancy many times and got through it, and I’ve changed career several times and handled it. It’s also fair to say I’ve had lots of experience supporting people from all walks of life over the years.
I also started a side hustle last year, which heavily relies on the in-person sensory experience, in lockdown during a pandemic! I found the confidence to take that step into the unknown and give it a try as it blends so well with my wellbeing focus. And I love it! My inner worrier was sent packing.
You can read about my qualifications later in my profile, but I would add I am a volunteer counsellor with a bereavement organisation. I understand loss. We experience many losses in life not only losing a loved one, and loss I believe is an important factor for us to consider in our work together as it invariably brings about change.
So I offer an eclectic mix - workplace coaching, bereavement counselling, wellbeing focused, mentoring young people, and extensive experience in corporate business settings. Through CBT I have experience working with anxiety and depression/low mood exploring connections with our thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

In the future when restrictions allow I will offer 'Walking Coaching' in the Scottish Borders for those who would prefer an alternative to traditional 'therapy room' appointments. Ideal for those who are strapped for time to fit coaching and exercise in the one go and would welcome a more sensory experience. Until then sessions will be conducted either online or telephone.
To complement my wellbeing practice I offer Neal's Yard Remedies Organic combining mind and body, and regularly run online wellbeing events for my customers.
Please email me to discuss.
A little about why I do what I do
Counselling with a CBT approach offers the opportunity to challenge unhelpful thinking styles by exploring thoughts, feelings and behaviours. I feel the ability to blend coaching, counselling, and CBT together lends itself beautifully to supporting you as a human being with various needs and intricacies to the path of self-fulfilment.
I’m passionate about unlocking people’s potential through coaching to be the very best they can be and really invest in themselves. It’s fascinating how each person has the answers within to achieve great things and just need some support and guidance along the way to help make it happen.
Sometimes people find themselves stuck in a rut or just generally going round and round in circles. Perhaps you feel overwhelmed, your mood is low, or dismiss your desires as too hard to achieve. Is that pesky inner voice limiting your self belief and damaging your confidence? If that sounds like you or if you find yourself in any of these situations you might want to consider coaching:
- Desire to increase personal performance and results in or out the workplace
- Challenges in the workplace, changing careers, redundancy, newly promoted or being groomed for promotion
- Improving personal organisation
- Relationship concerns
- Re-discovering what you’re passionate about or exploring your creative side
The benefits of coaching are endless but expect to feel more focused and energised, have a more positive outlook, better work/life balance, working more effectively and improved time management, and just enjoying life more.
'Walking Coaching' has a number of benefits to both the mind and body that I sadly can't offer right now until restrictions are lifted. Walking in nature is very relaxing, changing our brainwave patterns and heightening the senses leading to more creative thinking, and truly embodies the coach/client partnership moving forward both mentally and physically. Ideal for those with a love of the outdoors who are perhaps strapped for time to fit in physical exercise and coaching. When it is safe to do so I will open this option back up for clients.
