About me

The world has changed and most of us are having to rethink the way we live and work. It is a scary time affecting all the family. For those who live alone, loneliness may have crept in, many freedoms taken away, and for those with children and work commitments, home can feel like a prison. Depression and anxiety may have returned or slowly crept in. If you need help to feel better get in touch, a few sessions can get you on the right path.

I am a Doctor of Clinical Psychology, a Life Coach and NLP practitioner, and most recently a Grief Recovery Specialist. With over 10 years experience as a Clinical Psychologist specialising in adults experiencing difficulties with their mental health, career difficulties or relationship difficulties, and young people (18-24) struggling at university or finding their way in this world. I am highly qualified to help understand your difficulties and the best approach for you.

Having worked therapeutically for 12 years, I use a blend of CBT, NLP and coaching techniques to suit your needs. Coaching is dynamic and change can begin to occur at the first session! You can say goodbye to that horrible anxiety, that crippling depression and horrible self doubt that holds you back and begin to create joy and fulfilment.

I can help you build your confidence so that it never gets in the way again. Have you always admired people who just seem to "get on" with life but you stay stuck in the shadows? Have you read every self-help book but still don't really feel you can build self-esteem even though you've tried? Ever feel like an outsider in your own life? The key is support. We all need support from time to time and it helps you soar instead of feeling stuck.

If you are trying to work but struggling with your mental health, and you just want to feel better, if you are struggling at university or job hunting and feel lost in the world, or if you are miserable in your current job and feel stuck about what to do, coaching will help you.

M ms recent passion is working with grief in all its forms.  The grief recovery programme is an educational 7 session process to learn about loss, grief and most importantly how to recover from the deep pain you may be feeling. There are more than 40 types of loss we all experience throughout our lives and having gone through the programme myself, I could not believe how it transformed the pain following divorce and job loss. This programme is revolutionary, evidence based and without a waiting list. It is never too soon to work on your grief, it will alleviate the deep dark feelings you are experiencing as well as put your whole life in context. If you are thinking of finding out more, please get in touch.

Jane has a wealth of expertise and experience. She will help you to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and discover and develop your true life goals and make the changes you need to.

Jane explains "Coaching has transformed my outlook to help people achieve real change in a short period of time. I'm converted and feel passionately that everyone should have the opportunity for this type of mentoring throughout their lives. Sadly the NHS cannot cope with the demand for talking therapies/help, so take the plunge and begin the work together with me instead of waiting and feeling miserable".

I work one to one and online so that you can get help from the comfort of your own home. I offer a free initial consultation to establish the difficulties you would like help with and to give you a sense of working with me.

You do not have to sign up for lots of sessions and you can have a one-off consultation. I want what is best for you and will advise what I think might be most helpful.

  • “Jane has been a fundamental part of my recovery throughout my ongoing journey with anxiety and depression. She has helped me, and continues to help me, find the courage, self-belief & self-worth that I have lacked for many years. Jane's continued support, compassion, unwavering positivity and careful coaching is essential to me as I carry on navigating my way through the ups and downs of my mental health journey.” (RF Swindon)
  • “Having struggled for many years with my anxiety, thoughts and having seen many years of mental health issues in my family I needed some professional help to get my thoughts straight. I saw Jane for several sessions over a period of a few months and I found her work to be calming and insightful to me in finding my own thoughts.  She showed me how to manage my anxiety whilst providing a pathway to a better and more positive way of thinking.  I still think of Jane as a support to me when needed and I still keep in contact as she provides me with life coaching skills that help me in my everyday business and social life.” (CM Wiltshire)

  • "I met Jane at an extremely stressful time in my life but from my first consultation I felt it's going to be ok. She is such a calm and friendly person it's like chatting to a friend. Jane has taught me some great coping strategies but is also brilliant at making you look at situations in a positive way so you find yourself doing that without her having to. I felt no pressure to commit to lots of sessions, she genuinely just wants what is best for you and I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending her." (LH, Oxfordshire)

  • "Jane is professional, and takes your well being and confidentiality seriously. That was really important to me as I didn't want my work to know I was seeking help. She is really warm and we have a giggle, but she has so much knowledge and you will get loads out of the sessions with her. "        HB, Gloucestershire

  • "I sought help from Jane for my anxiety regarding interviews, which was preventing me moving forwards into the next chapter of my life. Jane’s warm and relaxed manner immediately made me feel at ease and comfortable in being completely honest from our first session. She helped me recognise the continuous unconscious negative thoughts I was having and taught me how to reframe them in a more positive light, alongside the importance of being kinder to myself. Jane was so accommodating and considerate of my budget and has provided me with tools and coping strategies which I will use throughout my life. She truly cares and wants what is best for you, and will do whatever she can to help". SA, Oxfordshire
