About me
Jack Sloan | Executive & Leadership Coach | Transitions coaching
Clarity. Courage. Career transitions that fit who you really are.
You’ve built a career. You’ve led others, supported communities, made a difference. But lately, something’s shifted. You might be feeling stuck — unsure whether to stay, leave, step up or step back. Perhaps you’re craving a role that aligns with your values, or wondering how to find your voice in a system that no longer feels like home.
I coach experienced professionals — often in charities and education or people-facing roles — who are at a crossroads. People who are ready to think deeply, make bold decisions, and lead differently. Coaching with me isn’t about quick wins or flashy strategies. It’s about slowing down, listening carefully, and creating space for clarity to emerge.
I’ll help you get beneath the surface of your doubts and patterns. Together, we’ll explore who you are now, what matters most, and how to move forward with confidence and integrity. My clients often describe our sessions as challenging, spacious, warm, and deeply affirming.
If you’re looking for someone to walk alongside you as you work out what’s next — I’d love to hear from you.
Typical clients I work with include:
*Educators and third-sector leaders questioning their next step
*Professionals returning to full-time work after parenting or burnout
*Senior leaders seeking a clearer leadership identity
*People in values-driven roles who want to lead with more integrity and impact
*Changemakers facing organisational politics, restructure or difficult decisions

Training, qualifications & experience
I am a senior leader, a parent, a lover of the outdoors, a Londoner, and someone who is endlessly curious about the world around me. These parts of who I am shape the way I coach — grounded, human, and always open to new perspectives.
I bring over 15 years’ experience in senior leadership, including a decade as an inner-city headteacher, leading school transformation in complex and high-pressure contexts. My creative leadership was recognised nationally and featured in TES, The Guardian, and a number of academic studies. I know what it means to lead through uncertainty — and the power of having someone beside you who sees your potential and helps you step into it fully.
I trained at the Academy of Executive Coaching (AoEC), one of the UK’s leading institutions, and hold a Practitioner Diploma in Executive Coaching. I am accredited by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC), fully insured, and committed to strong ethical standards, regular supervision, and ongoing professional development.
My coaching practice is informed by Gestalt psychology, meaning I work in the here and now, with what is present in the relationship and the client’s wider system. I’m particularly interested in the connections between personal insight and systemic change — how shifting patterns within individuals can unlock transformation in teams, organisations, and beyond.
Alongside one-to-one coaching, I work with organisations on leadership development, team culture, strategy, and systemic change. I’ve supported succession planning, facilitated transitions, and helped teams navigate restructure and uncertainty. I also bring lived experience of inclusion work, trauma-informed practice, and leading through crisis.
My qualifications include:
- EMCC Accredited Executive Coach
- Practitioner Diploma in Executive Coaching – Academy of Executive Coaching (AoEC)
- Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) – Manchester Metropolitan University
- BA (Hons) Music – University of Manchester
My coaching is tailored, imaginative, and deeply human. It’s about creating the conditions for you to think differently, lead with confidence, and make the change that matters.
