About me

I specialise in individual coaching and my practise is based on cognitive behavioural methods, which I enhance with cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy, solution focussed problem solving, stress management techniques, mindfulness and relationship coaching.

My clients include people with confidence and self esteem difficulties, work related problems, personal relationship issues, phobias and substance abuse problems. I am happy to see younger people, from age 14 years upwards.

Each programme is constructed around the individual client's problems and the assessment that I carry out with the client in the first session.

I have over forty years experience of working in healthcare and mental health services; and recently entered into partnership so that, together with my colleague, we can offer clients a comprehensive range of skills and programmes.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified and registered life coach, holding the Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Coaching and the Primary Certificate in Stress Management from the Centre for Coaching and Stress Management, London; both accredited by Middlesex University. Additionally, I have the Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy, awarded by the UK College of Hypnosis & Hypnotherapy/NCFE.
I am a registered full Member of the Association For Coaching, an Accredited Registered Practitioner on the General Hypnotherapy Register, a Member of the Register for Evidence-Based Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy. Additionally, I am a Fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Science.

I have an Enhanced Certificate for working with adults and children from the Disclosure & Barring Service.

My career has included over 40 years in the NHS and independent health sector as a clinical science practitioner, team leader and teacher in healthcare science, diagnostics, and paramedical services; together with posts as Director of Psychological Therapies; Service Development Manager for a  Learning Difficulties Service and Consultant Lead for NHS Diagnostic Services in South West London.
