About us

As a coach, I can help you find and make the changes that will give you a happier and more fulfilled life, whether that is at work, at home or both.

Work related coaching is often about my clients improving their own performance, or that of their team or their organisation. But sometimes it’s more about softer skills, like building relationships, being a better leader, handling a difficult situation.

Personal coaching can cover everything from work-life balance, through low confidence or self-esteem, to turning your life around to do what you really want to be doing.

Client conversations are 100% confidential, and coaching sessions can be conducted online (100% at the moment) or face-to-face when/where safe to do so.

Never had a coach before? Then try an no-fee intro session to discuss what you want to achieve and experience how even a brief session can make a difference.

Let's see what you could achieve by us working together.

"Working with Iain has really helped me understand what is most important in my business, and how I can improve its performance. We established a high degree of mutual trust, so when our conversations became more challenging, I knew the questioning was coming from a good place. Iain helped me question my priorities and led the way to some valuable cost savings and efficiency improvements. Working together has helped me become a better business leader. I would recommend finding a good coach to any business owner or director so you have a true ‘thinking partner’ for all the conversations you can’t have with your juniors or peers."
Online business owner, 2020.

"Over the last 3 months, I’ve been having coaching sessions with Iain McDonald.
The coaching sessions have been invaluable to me from a work perspective and a personal perspective. For me, coaching is a much about giving you the tools mentally to deal with certain situations effectively and take those learnings through to the future.
After every conversation, I’ve felt much more equipped to deal with my individual situations! I felt eager to have more sessions with Iain knowing that I was talking with somebody who could truly empathize with how I was feeling and the challenges I was facing.
Iain has a calm and composed manner about him, which has rubbed off on me. He always goes above and beyond as I believe he genuinely cares and is passionate about helping people!
If you’re looking for a coach who is extremely knowledgeable, empathetic, and passionate about your progress, then you wouldn’t go wrong with Iain. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him."
Digital Design Studio owner.

"I reached out to Iain because I felt really lost. My career and my personal life were in limbo and I couldn’t work out how to move forward.
During our coaching sessions, we worked together to understand my personal strengths as well as my fears and why they were holding me back. I figured out what motivates me, what my values are and how to make the right choices for me. Iain encouraged me to visualise my goals though an analytical process, and then we put in place a framework to help me realise those goals.
Iain enabled me to see my fears and accept them as challenges to embrace. Not only has he helped me overcome a number of barriers I had put in front of myself for my professional life but his guidance has helped in my personal life too; for the first time in 15 years, I faced my fear of flying and booked a long haul flight.
Iain gave me the tools to look at things in a clearer way and encouraged me to explore different scenarios and outcomes. I now have the confidence to take steps in the direction of my choice, at my own pace. I feel that I can confidently face and embrace new challenges without seeing them as something to fear and avoid.
I truly valued the opportunity to stop, think and talk through my plans. Iain provided a safe and confidential space and was both an objective partner and a supportive challenger. I would recommend to anyone looking for some guidance and clarification."
Online Retail Executive

"Iain brings several decades of experience in building businesses to bear on every project he undertakes. He works best closely aligned with business owners to provide challenge and support, so they can really be sure about what they are trying to achieve. And then he helps them find ways to achieve or overachieve their goals. I would recommend him to any business whose owner would like to re-energise their company’s performance "
