Geraldine Macé - Let go of your past and it will let go of you
Is your past holding you back?
There’s no getting away from it. Life is full of ups and downs, good and bad. Some of the bad things that happen can turn your life upside down, leaving you with regrets and sadness, to such an extent that you become stuck. On the other hand, you may feel that the present or future can’t possibly be as good as a time in your life that has passed. Despite the passage of time the past continues to hold you back from fully experiencing the good things in life.
Research has shown that continually focusing on the past can lead to poor mental health with more symptoms of anxiety and depression. Holding on to your past can leave you feeling tired all the time, not able to sleep at night and impact on your health.
How do you know if your past is getting in your way?
- You keep finding yourself in the same rut with jobs or relationships
- You find yourself comparing your current partner to your ex
- You feel stuck
- Thinking about the past makes you sad
- You are afraid of what the future holds for you
- There is a period in the past that you frequently reminisce about and would love to return to, given the chance
- You just don’t feel as happy as you would like to
If this describes you, I can help you. My name is Geraldine and I am an experienced Life Coach and Certified Grief Recovery Specialist®. I am caring and compassionate and love the work I do. I especially enjoy the moment when I see a client shift from being stuck to finding an exciting vision of the future. What have people said about my coaching?
"After enduring a difficult start in life and losing my father at an early age, I found myself lost and I needed some support. I was firstly prescribed antidepressants from my doctor and started having counselling sessions which was not the right choice for me. I then researched for many hours to find a solution to my problems before I came across life-coaching. This seemed to be the path that I needed to take. I was struggling to find the right life coach for myself until I came across 'Be More Life Coaching'. I had a long phone conversation with Geraldine before having my first session and I instantly realised that I had made the right decision. Since then, I have had many helpful sessions which were important to me and I have been able to work these around my busy schedule. I am still working on myself to this day and with Geraldine's help at Be More Life Coaching, I can see a bright future ahead.”
"Having struggled for a number of years to ‘move on’ following divorce, the Grief Recovery Programme method helped me understand the root cause of my sense of loss and provided me with the tools to find resolution and ‘move on’. The programme has been incredibly impactful and it is so relevant and easily applied to different types of loss. Thank you for the brilliantly sensitive and supportive way that you delivered the Grief Recovery Programme.
As a life coach your guidance has been invaluable in helping me understand myself and make better decisions which have achieved much better outcomes – thank you!"
"Cannot thank Geraldine enough for helping me to find myself again. I emerged from our sessions knowing myself better and being empowered to live the life I wanted to live. I only wish that I started working with her sooner!"
"This New Year's Eve was the first time for many years that I wasn't sobbing at midnight thinking everything is hopeless"
