New clients often ask me what Coaching is all about, what is the point of, and how will it help me?
I see my role as a Coach as working with people to help them to bring out the best in themselves and to reach their full potential in every aspect of their lives.
Coaching gives the time and space to enable the Focus for Change. It is about building on what is working in our lives and at the same time identifying and overcoming potential “blockers” to success.
Why do people seek the support of a Coach?
These are the most common reasons why people contact me:
- To deal with a particular problem or issue
- To achieve a work / life balance
- To reach their full potential in the work place and to work on issues which may be preventing this
- To increase self-confidence and self-esteem following a separation, divorce, redundancy or another life-changing event
- Relationship issues
- Careers Guidance and Career coaching.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified Coach with a Certificate in Coaching practice which is Accredited by the International Coaching Federation. I have been working in a Coaching capacity for in excess of 20 years.
I am a qualified Careers Guidance Adviser with a Diploma in Careers Guidance and an MA in Guidance, Graduating from the Psychology Department of the University of East London in 1993. My many years of experience in the Careers Guidance sector, working with both young people and adults enables me to bring another dimension to my coaching work. An increasing number of my clients initially make contact with me requesting one off careers guidance sessions.
I qualified as a Counsellor with an NVQ level 4 in Integrative Counselling in 2003 and am experienced in both one to one and couple counselling. This experience is particularly useful when working with clients where issues with relationships may be acting as a “blocker” in other areas of their lives.
Areas of coaching I deal with
My standard rate is £45 per hour, and I ask clients to pay for sessions by cash or cheque at the end of each session or by making direct payment into my account in advance of each session.
If you are feeling unsure as to whether Coaching or Careers Guidance could be the right choice for you, please feel free to contact me on 07885 4140131, or email me.
I operate from my premises in Brentwood, although some clients find it more convenient to meet at a mutually agreed venue. I also offer clients a telephone based Coaching service, after two face to face sessions.
Sessions normally last for one hour and although it varies from client to client, six sessions is normally an appropriate number. During the course of the Coaching journey, we will agree challenging but realistic goals and actions, will regularly review progress and will work to ensure that your overall goal is sustainable once our work together comes to an end.
If you are looking for Careers Guidance as opposed to Life or Career Coaching, I offer one off sessions which typically last for one hour. Please ensure that you bring your cv to the session with you
