Feel Better Families - Health Coaching for Parents
Do you want to find a better way to look after your health and your family’s health? If so, Feel Better Families can support you to make effective and sustainable changes to your family's diet and lifestyle.
Hi, I'm Sarah, founder of Feel Better Families. I coach parents who want to improve their health and their family's health.
Looking after our health through what we eat and the way we live has never been more important. But just because we know it's important, doesn't mean we find it easy to do - particularly if we're trying to make changes for our families as well as for ourselves.
I offer parents much needed support, often when they feel like they've tried everything already, or when they feel overwhelmed at the thought of making yet more changes to their lives and their families' lives.
If that's how you're feeling then there's a good chance that you've come to the right place. I can help you with a range of family health and wellbeing challenges including:
- fussy eating
- dietary change
- forming healthier family habits.
This is what one of my client's had to say about me:
"Sarah has a gentle approach, is very attentive and focused. I felt motivated to make the changes to my daily routines that Sarah and I discussed in our sessions. Sarah is an absolute professional who has her clients' interests at heart." (Mother of two teenagers who took part in 'self care for parents' coaching).
So if you're a parent who's feeling stuck, uncertain, or who just has a sense that things could be better when it comes to taking care of your family's health, then get in touch and request a free 20 minute initial consultation. You'll be amazed at what you can do with the right support.
Training, qualifications & experience
Sarah is a fully qualified and insured health coach with specialisms in diet and lifestyle change, child feeding, and parenting. She is a member of the UK Health Coaches Association, and an associate member of the Royal Society for Public Health and the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine.
Sarah has a Diploma in Nutrition and Lifestyle Coaching (Ofqual regulated, level 4) and has undertaken certified continuing professional development units in child feeding (Ellyn Satter Institute, approved by the US Commission of Dietetic Registration).
She is also a trained parent group facilitator for the evidence-based parenting programme, 'Empowering Parents Empowering Communities' and a trained volunteer for the charity Home-Start, providing support for families in need with children under the age of 5, for which she has an enhanced DBS certificate.
Sarah's first degree is from the University of Cambridge, and she has an MSc from Birkbeck College, University of London. Before becoming a family health coach, she spent the majority of her career working as a behaviour change research consultant.
Although this accumulated professional and academic experience underpins her work, it's her personal life experiences that made her want to become a family health coach, and which give her the insight, compassion and drive to help her clients make positive and lasting change. Having children of her own, navigating the demands of work and family, and experiencing transformative health and wellbeing change for herself have all contributed to Sarah's empathic and effective approach to coaching parents with health concerns.
