I work with parents on a one to one basis and in small groups. I believe that a happy and fully resourceful parent will make life (and parenting) a much more rewarding experience.
Why do I think parents could benefit from my coaching?
Time and energy (or the lack of these) can often feel like a limitation for parents.
As such, you may not allow yourself the time (or energy) to think about or do the things that will encourage you to thrive, such as:
- improving resilience
- increasing assertiveness
- having more time for self
- improving confidence
- working out what it is YOU want (especially if you now have more time)
- improving your health and well-being
I help my clients by supporting them to:
- work out what it is they want when they haven't had the opportunity to consider it
- transition back into the workplace after maternity leave or an extended time out to look after children
- improve resilience and manage conflict in challenging situations
- work out how to fit "me time" into their life
- rediscover lost identity and purpose
- improve parent-child/partner relationships
My aim is to help parents re-connect with/realise their own personal goals and recognise the resources they have available to them, which will ultimately help them to make congruent choices for themselves and their family.
Training, qualifications & experience
I qualified as an Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) Practitioner in 2014 whilst completing a Nutrition Coach Diploma.
I'm currently studying for my Master NLP Practitioner qualification at the UK College of Personal Development in Swindon.
For the past 3 years I have worked at a HE college supporting the coaching modules of a Nutrition focused Practice Diploma.
As a parent I have experienced first hand the usefulness of navigating parenthood with the tools and techniques that I now use with my clients (and continue to use for myself).

A deterioration in my own health and well-being in 2009 encouraged me to change direction and embark upon a Nutritional Therapy qualification in order to support others with their Health.
As part of my course, I discovered NLP. I realised that sharing knowledge on food and dietary choices was only part of the picture and that a healthy mind was equally as important in achieving optimum health.
Healthy Perceptions was formed out of a desire to help others with their health and well-being and the recognition that mind and body are connected.
(Just to clarify - I currently offer coaching only, rather than nutrition advice).
