About me
Having worked for over twenty years as a family law solicitor and seeing first-hand the emotional and practical challenges clients face upon separation, in addition to the legal process, I decided to re-train as a coach. I can now draw on my previous experience and combine it with my coaching skills to support clients on their journey. I work with clients before, during and after a separation to help them make informed decisions at every stage.
Are you feeling overwhelmed and want to feel more in control of your divorce or separation? Do you want to be better equipped to communicate with your former partner and your solicitor? Do you need a safe and impartial space to talk?
I will work in partnership with you to manage the emotional and practical challenges you will face and help you move forward with your life, leaving your solicitor to concentrate on the legal aspects. I can provide you with key information about the divorce process and explain the options open to you in an understandable manner, so that you can plan your way forward confidently.
How can a divorce coach help you?
1. Self-empowerment through self-awareness and self-management - you will believe you can get through this.
2. Feel in control of your life by looking at various factors including self-care, your boundaries and making a plan.
3. Emotional support so that you are able to manage your emotions in order to make sound decisions. Consideration of what triggers you and how to change that.
4. Practical guidance and information including support with completing your Form E financial statement and parenting plans. Signposting to other professionals including solicitors, mediators and financial advisers.
5. Communication including strategies for communication with your former partner, how to tell your children you are separating, preparing for meetings with your solicitor.
6. Accountability - keeping you focused and motivated.
