About me

I am a straight talking Life Coach and Coach trainer with over twenty years experience working in health and development. As a coach I keep it simple, are you living your best life possible and if not, what is stopping you? I work with people and teams who want to explore and improve themselves and the world around them. I firmly believe that inside us all is the ability to create change and move forward in a way that fulfils us and makes the most out of this one life. Working with a great coach can help identify changes that need to be made, sometimes small and powerful, sometimes bigger. There is always room for improvement, don't allow yourself think there's not.

As a skilled and qualified coach I will work alongside you to enable you to really think about where you are and where you want to be, in life or at work. I will help you move forward in the way that works for you. This is what I do, and what I do best. It isn't as complicated as you might think and with me in your corner, you are very likely to enjoy it. I don't work with everyone who comes to me, only those who are willing to commit to the process, go deep and trust themselves.

I also work as a trainer for student coaches at Animas Centre for Coaching and work as a coach for other coaches either starting their journey or developing their practice. I have a diploma in Transformational Coaching recognised by the International Coaching Federation and a Masters Degree in Social Development and Health.

I will work alongside you, either one to one, via Skype or in a workshop / work place setting so that you can explore where you are now, become clearer on what is holding you back and clearer on how you can move forward.

Work place coaching programmes and bespoke workshops are available.

Some client reviews:

"If you are thinking about getting coaching with Emma, stop… just do it! I wasn’t sure what to expect but Emma’s coaching has made such a difference to the way that I think about myself and the world around me. I am discovering my confidence and, without really thinking about it, have noticed that I’ve given up on some of the things that were really holding me back...I started the sessions simply hoping that I could get to a place where I felt competent at work, but now I feel so much more motivated and empowered, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds." Sarah, Scotland.

"I'd reached a point in my life where I needed to make some big changes but no matter how many times I told myself to 'just get on with it' I wasn't getting it done. I was also sceptical about coaching mainly because I'm not good at 'opening up' when it comes to personal issues. Lastly, I didn't think real men needed anything more than the exchange of some views and banter over a beer to make everything feel ok again. Emma is a good listener, she's not afraid to ask difficult questions and she brings no assumptions or judgements to the table. She also has a great sense of humour and a knack of subtly keeping the conversation moving in the direction of your goals. Over the course of several discussions with her I've found a new clarity and calmness about what I need to do and also some surprising revelations about myself. It's fair to say my life has a different feel to it now and for the first time in a long time I'm steadily closing the distance on the changes I need to make." Tom, Scotland

"Emma has been coaching me in relation to getting my new career off the ground. She has allowed me to get clarity and focus on what I was trying to achieve. She has helped me understand what was holding me back and as a result, to overcome those obstacles. The boost in clarity and confidence that I have gained has got me to a place where I am now feeling that it is "all starting to happen". Emma is a kind, compassionate coach with a real insight for asking the right questions to help me move forward." Elizabeth, Scotland

"I found Emma's profile on a coaching website and decided to go with her. I was in a really bad place when I first started with Emma. During our sessions, to my surprise, I felt comfortable putting my wall down and show my vulnerable side to a total stranger on the other side of the globe, and I felt calmer and better after every session. She helps me to take a step back to look on a bigger picture on my problem, encourage me to ponder about my doubts and questions. I highly recommend Emma, she is a good listener and a sincere coach." Kyle, Malaysia.

Further information

I always recommend a (no cost) thirty minute consultation via Skype. Finding a coach is a little like finding a driving instructor, you need a good rapport to get the best from the sessions! Coaching is transformational and it's wise to get a coach that you are comfortable with. A consultation can let you see who I am and how I work, to ensure that we are suited before committing to the sessions.
