Deborah Talbot, Dip., Dip.Coun. - Dérive Life Coaching
Thank you for clicking on my profile! I’m guessing by now you’ve looked through a lot of coach profiles, so I just want to tell you in a short a time as possible what I think coaching can achieve and what’s different about what I do. If you want to find out more, visit my website or book a free initial consultation below.
To me, transformational coaching offers the possibility of change while still recognising the very real limits we have. For example, it’s no use telling people with chronic illness they can achieve the world; it’s about being able to get the most out of life while working with very real difficult, physical limits and identity changes. But coaching can focus attention on, and bring transformation to our mindset and emotional resilience, dealing with blocks, boundary issues, confidence or simple clarity, to name just a few dilemmas I’ve worked with.
I guess what is unique about my coaching is that I use a range of different perspectives and techniques – every coaching relationship is bespoke. I’m very open-minded and don’t believe there is one right way to be human. I’m creative and relatable, and I’ve got lots of professional and life experience (I talk about this more on my website).
But don’t just take my word for it – here are the works of one of my amazing clients:
“Deborah has a warm, calm and personable approach and has made me feel comfortable and understood from the beginning. She went above and beyond thinking of various coaching techniques that can be used and recommending additional resources that could be helpful. She is an empathetic listener and uses questions skilfully to help clarify my goals and actions and focus on solutions. I would definitely recommend Deborah as a coach!”

I offer a free one hour coaching session, so you can experience what coaching is like and if we are a good fit. For subsequent sessions, you pay in advance for how ever many sessions you want (it is possible to pay for one in advance on a rolling basis or book a number of sessions).
Because of the juggling most of us are doing right now, it's easier to get in touch with me via message, which comes straight to my email, or through my website contact form. If you decide to get in contact via phone, I may not always be in a position to answer, but please do leave a message and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
Have a look at my website to get a sense of what I offer, and if you think we might be a good fit, get in touch and we can arrange a free one hour coaching session. Further details about session booking are below and on my website.
Because of the pandemic I'm only seeing people remotely. In the long term, I hope to resume 'in person' coaching and begin coaching through walking in nature.
