Deborah Talbot - Transformational Life Coach - Dérive Life Coaching
To me, life or transformational coaching can work with the smallest dilemmas right through to important critical decisions or emotional change. It is about cultivating a collaborative, creative and accepting relationship to focus on your needs, challenges and goals - to go for what seems impossible!
I take an integrative approach to coaching, which means that I look at a range of perspectives and ideas and what they can offer within the coaching space. I've worked with clients on the breadth of life coaching questions, including relationships, careers, boundaries, perfectionism, creative blocks, emotional regulation, dealing with the inner critic, life/work balance, living with chronic illness to name a few.
My professional background began as an artist, then as social science academic and ethnographer, and I now work in journalism and communications. I draw on a wide range of resources in my work, from philosophy and psychology to film and literature, and I have a countercultural history - all that will no doubt emerge in the coaching space too. I’m well-versed in the dilemmas for those experiencing chronic illness.
If I sound like someone you’d like to work with, get in touch.

Areas of coaching I deal with
I work on a rolling, pay as you go, basis. This means you pay after every session and are free to end our work when you choose or when an ending seems appropriate.
The initial consultation, which consists of a full hour and will include life coaching, is a flat rate of £40. Further sessions are between £40 to £80, depending on your ability to pay. I am currently working towards ICF accreditation, so I am offering these lower rates until I am accredited.
If you are interested in finding out about life coaching with me, please get in touch. Currently I am only working remotely, which means I will see you over Zoom or FaceTime (or whatever platform you prefer).
Each session is 50 minutes to an hour long, and if we decide to work together we can schedule these weekly or every two weeks to begin with.
When you get in touch for the first time, I will arrange an initial session with you so we can both decide if we can work together productively.
