There are a lot of reasons people consider coming into coaching. It may be that you are at a career crossroads and not sure where to go next, lack confidence or are struggling with balancing work and home life for example. I can help you work through these issues to gain clarity and understanding, and support you with taking responsibility for change. I am an accredited Executive, Career and Personal Development Coach working with a range of people in the public and private sector in coaching projects in areas like business improvement, career change, personal development and building confidence. Coaching seeks to enable people to make desirable and beneficial changes in both their professional and personal lives, to support them to develop and grow. I also work with Teams using an integrated combination of interventions to improve team cohesion and performance.
A coaching project usually involve 6-8 sessions 1.5 hour sessions over the space of several months, with each session followed up by reflections and actions you would take away to work on, although the number of sessions is totally flexible. Support is also offered by email and telephone in between sessions, and feedback given on areas such as coaching tools, personal plans and any other elements that you are working on. I work with people both face to face and by Skype.
I take a holistic approach to coaching to enable people to make desirable and beneficial changes in both their professional and personal lives that help them develop and grow. I recognise that with any human endeavour to grow and flourish, there are a complex mix of psychological and practical factors that help sustain real change.
I focus on unlocking and unfolding people’s potential underpinned by a solid understanding of human experience and how people change taken from over 25 years of extensive training and experience of working with groups and individuals. I have a sound psychological understanding of the areas of counselling and psychological therapies that enhance my coaching practice and use a variety of different approaches and tools.

- Accredited Insights Practitioner using the Insights personality traits framework
- Foundation trained Counsellor
- Part trained in integrated psychotherapy training at Metanoia Institute
- Foundation training accreditation with the Institute of Group Analysis
- Familiar with different frameworks such as Neuro Linguistic programming (NLP), Transactional Analysis, and mindfulness practice
- Diploma in Training and HR with Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development
- Regular supervision of work through qualified supervisor
- Founder member of the Bucks Coaching supervision network
I started off my life working in the commercial sector at Sainsbury's, British Telecom, and Allied Dunbar before moving across to the world of training and development. Here I worked as a Consultant with large and small organisations, helping them areas like future direction, change management, developing their workforce and leadership development and coaching. I have been a freelance Coach and Facilitator for 16 years, and am passionate about what I do; it is more a vocation than a job. I work with people 1-1 and with Teams, and have also set up a number of in house Coaching schemes, training people in organisations to become coaching.
