I specialise in working with individuals who are aiming to develop their business or organisation - to focus on depth and/or growth.
You may have a need to improve your systems and services, have a project to develop, stakeholders to engage and customers or clients to find. Or, you may have lots of writing to do, or possibly have an issue that demands insightful and determined research. You may have all of these to do at once.
Attempting to tackle these challenges can impact your work/life balance, confidence, inspiration and creativity. Being in a small business can be an incredibly rewarding and challenging experience, but you can also feel a keen sense of isolation. Lack of support is, unfortunately, one of the risk factors.
It is not just about the business potential, it is also about your potential within the business.
What I offer is not just about business consultancy - that often merely provides you with a set of solutions. This is about equipping you with a set of tools to develop your own solutions that are fit for purpose for you and for your business/organisation.
My commitment to you is to play a fundamental part in ensuring that you achieve the results you desire - if you are prepared to work hard to change the things you want to change, then it will happen.
I am very pleased to let some of the results from my coaching speak for me. Please see some comments from a few of my clients:
"Craig is, quite simply, the best listener I know. He has a really gentle, approachable coaching style, but is also not afraid to ask tough questions when needed. During our sessions, we talked about everything ranging from streamlining mundane practicalities, right through to some really big questions about values and purpose.
It was Socrates who is credited with saying that “the unexamined life is not worth living”. Now, whilst I think that’s a bit of an overstatement, I do believe that an examined life is far more worth living. Overall, the coaching sessions were one of the best investments I’ve ever made. Even many years later, whenever I feel off-track, I still use the techniques Craig taught me, to figure out why, and to set a new direction. If you are feeling similarly in a rut, and need some help to figure things out, I highly recommend Craig’s services.” D.S. Chemical Engineer
"Craig is an excellent facilitator who has given me a different perspective on various issues. I have made real progress in a short time, both in how I allocate my time and the style of communication both within and external to my team. I have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone looking for a way forward." Anne Moore, Deputy Director, Facilities Services, Queen Margaret University
"Craig is an excellent listener and researches thoroughly before suggesting new approaches. My business benefited greatly from his input.” PC, SME Owner and General Manager
"I can attest to his professionalism, wide knowledge and ability to get to the heart of issues. Craig is goal-oriented and he will bring his intellect and commitment to bear to ensure his clients achieve their objectives." Vanessa Glynn, Former Head of Europe Team, Scottish Government and of External Liaison Unit, Scottish Parliament
"I had five business coaching sessions with Craig and his help has been invaluable. Through a combination of Craig’s listening, insightful questioning and support I was able to develop my vision and set clear milestones along that path to getting the business off the ground. At the end of the sessions I had a greater sense of clarity, focus and confidence which has remained as I continue to move forward towards my goals. " M. Griffiths
A little about me
Having reoriented my own life and career from one of working in large organisations with a distinct set of rules, to creating and running my own coaching business (in 2011) reflecting my needs and choices, I am passionate about assisting others to change not only themselves but their environment in a way that reflects their own values.
