About me

Did you know that the average UK household has potentially thousands of pounds worth of unused stuff. Did you also know that the UK hoards more stuff than the rest of Europe combined. Also UK employees ranked meaningless tasks as the key factor in keeping them from feeling fulfilled at work.

We're overwhelmed with useless stuff and consumption and its time to stop.

Hey! I'm Chris Lovett, a simplicity coach, minimalist, speaker, career mentor, professional executive coach, podcast host, disruptive thought leader and author of the bestselling self sufficiency, green living and business motivation book Discovery of Less.

I'm one of the UK's only coaches and motivational (and somewhat hilarious one too!) speakers on minimalism, simplicity and the less is progress lifestyle. My minimalist story and the timing of it resonates deeply across personal and professional lives. A few years ago I went on a journey of selling off, donating, recycling and discarding everything I ever owned and walking away from the security of an unfulfilling but 'successful' career. You could say I was consumed by stuff - or stuffocated! Since doing that, I travelled the world, changed careers, let go of all my old limitations, wrote and published a book, became a motivational speaker, set up my own business and I now do more of the things I love to do. I am no longer working silly hours at a job I can't stand, I am no longer in my own way to trying new things and being brave, I have more money because I don't spend it on things I actually don't need or love.

I help individuals, teams, families and leaders remove the physical, digital, mental and career clutter that is getting in the way and share the incredible positive impact and psychology behind decluttering, our relationship and attachment with consumption and the 'always on' mentality.

Plus, and sometimes more importantly, coaching and mentoring doesn't always have to be serious and sombre, it can be fun too.

A lot of us are overwhelmed with stuff, always busy and have a million and one things going on. All this stuff consumes our time, energy, money, relationships and impacts on our well-being and the ability to do the things we want to do and be the person we want to be.

Whether its time to declutter some old stuff in your home or a new approach to work by saying no and defending your time by doing less, a minimalist mindset will unlock your potential to be the person you've always aspired to be and do the things you've always aspired to do.

I told my story to others and I can help you create your own stories of less.

Its time to start decluttering our lives.

Lets unsubscribe from your current way of living and working and unlock your potential.

I can help you craft your own version of a minimalist mindset and ability to embrace less.

Its time.

Training, qualifications & experience

My 25 year professional career (I know, I don't look old enough, I moisturise!) has stretched across multiple industries and companies ranging from football clubs to big four banks. I've worked with all sorts of people from all sorts of backgrounds ranging from unsigned musicians (who are now household names) to top executives. People seem to like something about my coaching style that is a little bit different, a little bit progressive and disruptive. Coaching can be so boring and serious all the time, lets have some fun whilst getting into how we can help you be you, in high definition.

“I’ve been fortunate to receive coaching from Chris on several occasions. I have access to numerous coaches and I specifically chose Chris as I find him hugely professional and trustworthy. I found his style really supportive and calming.” - Sarah S

“Prior to chatting with you, I was feeling unmotivated and 'stuck'. You challenged my perspectives and I was encouraged to critically reflect, which was both challenging and rewarding. You helped me realise that I can take control of my environment and not just let stuff happen to me. I left feeling empowered to make positive changes, which I have now done. Thank you so much." - Ilijana P

"My new work approach is so simple, I had the answers all along but I was just so caught up people pleasing that I had no time to think for myself. All of a sudden I've got some time back. It’s crazy to think I just got used to living at 100mph doing things that on reflection didn't make much difference to anyone." - Michelle T

“It felt such a calming place to be and so refreshing given my work and life is mostly chaos” - Katherine N

“it was really useful and refreshing knowing others feel the same about their stuff. I picked up on some good ideas to help me deal with some of the ways in which I can work more efficiently and also more importantly, what I need to say to others around me, including my boss. I just wanted to say thank you, I feel a lot better after your session” - Felicity N
