About me

Hi! My name is Charlotte and I am the founder of Your Story Coaching - welcome to my page!

My mission as your coach is to help you get from where you are now to where you want to be; in life or in your business.

My story

I was first introduced to coaching through reading an amazing self help book 'You are a Badass' written by Jen Sincero. I left feeling so inspired by it and asked myself if she can inspire me through a book, how can I inspire others through real life coaching? I spent the next year training, learning and developing my coaching skills so I could fulfill my ambition and help others.

Now, I get to work with some brilliant individuals who are looking to create change in all areas of life. I have experience working with clients on an array of topics such as career moves, time management, relationship management and creating life balance.

Prior to coaching I worked in Change Management, supporting employees through varying levels of change within the business environment. Through this I experienced how different people deal with change, and how much change an individual can handle at once. This has helped me in my coaching practice as I am aware we are all unique and need to go at our own pace, finding our balance to step outside our comfort zone but ensuring it is realistic.

I am motivated by seeing others achieve their idea of success and thoroughly enjoy working with clients who are open minded, and are ready to consider or make a change. I truly believe anything is possible, if you want something enough and are willing to do what it takes to achieve it.

My promise to you

I once saw the definition of a life coach as 'A person employed to help people attain their goals in life.' For me, this definition is pretty uninspiring and not what my coaching is about.....Yes I absolutely will help you achieve your goals, but coaching is so much more than that!

We live in a forever changing world, with more ambition, options and opportunity available to us. So there will come a time you have to make a change in your life, or you have a goal you would like to achieve. I am sure you will probably get there on your own, make that change or reach that goal - eventually, but the experience will be more challenging, potentially overwhelming and is likely to take a lot longer (if you do it at all). Through working with a coach you will have somebody there who is supporting you, challenging you and keeping you accountable to achieve the unachievable.

Your coach is your number one cheerleader, the mirror you are afraid to hold in front of you and your constant reminder to do what you said you'd do. As your coach, I promise to always bring my passion, expertise and focus, to allow you to become the person you so want to be and achieve the unachievable.

How it works:

Coaching usually takes place one on one, on a regular basis, it can happen face to face, via skype or phone whatever works best for you.

Alongside the one to one coaching I also provide tools and exercises that you can use in your own time to help you on your journey; alot of the 'uh huh' moments actually happen outside of coaching sessions as you have the time to reflect, and really think, allowing you the space you need to find your answers; that is why my service doesn't just end after our session.

My qualifications

I have a Diploma in Business & Life Coaching, a Foundation Diploma in the science of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), and am also a UK DISC / Behaviour Accredited Practitioner.

I am a member of the Association for Coaching and adhere to their code of conduct and ethics.

What my clients say

"Charlotte has been very helpful in helping me to clarify my thoughts and put actionable goals in place. I have a rough outline of the direction I would like to take my career but have often struggled to gain a clear view of how to take immediate steps to move forward. From the first session I had with Charlotte, I was quickly able to identify what actions I needed to take and have a clearer plan of where I would like to focus my efforts for maximum results." - Kay Stone
