About me

Hi, I’m Charlie. I empower people with ADHD and other neurodivergent conditions to take control of their time, energy, and resources, and build a balanced life. I’m a former University Academic and fully qualified coach offering ADHD-informed Life Coaching focused on academic success, career planning and job performance, managing daily life and balancing responsibilities, deciding next steps, and navigating transitions such as leaving home, starting university, changing careers, or moving from education into the workplace. I also enjoy supporting people at different life stages who are adapting to an ADHD diagnosis (including self-diagnosis) in themselves or their children.

I specialise in working with people who have ADHD (diagnosed or undiagnosed) or ADHD-like traits, or who have other neurodivergent conditions such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, and autism. You do not need to have ADHD to work with me though. I am fully trained in Life Coaching and have successfully coached many people who are not neurodivergent. In my previous career as an academic I supported hundreds of young people with their studies, career planning, and health and well-being, many who were neurodivergent, most who weren't.

I support my clients to move away from chaos, overwhelm or uncertainty toward a place where they feel calm and in control, are more efficient and productive, and have clarity on how to reach their goals.

Being diagnosed with ADHD in my late 30s, at the same time as my daughter who was 14 at the time, completely changed how I view myself and manage my life. Reframing both our lives through the lens of ADHD, and later dyspraxia, created in me a real desire to understand ADHD so that I could overcome the challenges and overwhelm I was experiencing.

I decided to become a coach to help others navigate similar experiences. I really understand what having ADHD is like and I am here to help you gain insight, understand yourself, and develop strategies so that you can thrive.

Having experienced the benefits of coaching with an ADHD-informed coach, I firmly believe in the transformative power of individualised support to develop personalised strategies that help us overcome challenges and move forward in life.

My combination of personal and professional experience gives me a deep understanding of the demands placed upon people at work, home, and in their studies, especially for those who are neurodivergent. As your coach I will help you develop effective strategies and make meaningful changes to enhance productivity and create a calmer, more enjoyable life.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained as a Coach with The Coaching Academy, which is the largest life coaching course provider of its kind in the world. My diploma is accredited by the Association for Coaching and I achieved a Distinction for all of the components of the assessment process.

Prior to training as a coach I was a University Academic and, alongside research and teaching, I carried out education-related roles that focused on student well-being and pastoral support, inclusive curriculum design, and academic support for students with disabilities and long-term health conditions.

I transitioned from Higher Education into coaching because I wanted to use my skills and expertise to support people in a more impactful way. I bring nearly 15 years of experience on a wide range of issues including academic skills, career planning, health and well-being, special educational needs (SEND), and navigating accommodations and adjustments in education and the workplace.

I hold an LLB, Law (First Class Hons) degree from University of Kent (2004), a PhD in Law from University of Exeter (2014), and I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).

I hold a Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Autism (2024) and recently completed a CPD Training on Trauma Awareness and Coaching with The Coaching Academy.

I am a member of the Association for Coaching and abide by its Coaching Code of Ethics. I am fully insured, DBS-checked, and in regular supervision. I also engage in regular CPD to develop my skills and keep up-to-date with changes in the field.

Additional information

I offer a free no-obligation introductory call. This lasts 30 minutes and is for us to discuss what you would like to get out of coaching and decide whether it feels right to work together. Drop me a message or visit my website for the link to book this.

All my coaching packages include:

  • A free 30-minute initial chat (“discovery call”) to explore how we could work together.
  • A series of coaching sessions, each tailored to your unique needs and goals.
  • A summary of key insights and any agreed actions provided after each session.
  • Accountability and between session support via email or WhatsApp, if required.
  • Worksheets and other resources to support you to gain clarity and sustain momentum.
  • Psycho-education on ADHD and executive functioning, if required.
  • Regular mini-reviews and a final review session to reflect on progress and next steps.

Package of 6 sessions: £540
Package of 12 sessions: £995

Sessions take place weekly or fortnightly, depending on your current challenges and goals. We will discuss this during the initial stages.

Blocks of twelve sessions can be paid in installments.

I also offer some low-cost spaces for students in receipt of the full maintenance loan or those on a low income – please ask.

After the initial package, individual sessions can be booked at £95. However, it takes time to make changes that are sustainable and aligned with your goals and aspirations. I therefore do not recommend less than 6 sessions initially.
