Long term condition support
Alongside life coaching, I also offer coaching support to people with long term health diagnoses including autoimmune conditions.
Many of the people I work with who live with long term conditions, express feelings of grief, anger, shame, isolation, uncertainty and helplessness. These feelings can make people feel stuck and that they are unable to live their lives in a meaningful way.
I support my clients to acknowledge those feelings and move with them to a place of acceptance and greater peace. Through coaching, we will get to know who you are today as someone who lives with a condition but whose life is about much more than that.
I help people with long term conditions to:
- Make recovery plans and set health and lifestyle goals
- Feel more empowered and aware of the choices they have
- Feel supported about returning to work after a period of absence
- Cultivate a greater feeling of acceptance towards their health

The Association for Coaching is one of the leading professional bodies for Coaches and Organisations.
The Association is made up of a number of different membership categories, e.g. Associate Member (AMAC), Member (MAC), Accredited Member (AC Accred), with the different categories standing for different levels of training and experience. Accredited Members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
The Association has a Code of Ethics & Good Practice and a Complaints Procedure.

ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Training)
ACT is an extensively researched and effective form of behavioural therapy that has been adapted for use in a coaching context. I often use it, where appropriate, with my coaching clients.
ACT helps people to create rich and meaningful lives while, at the same time, living with the difficulties, pain and stress that are a fact of our daily lives.
When we practise ACT together, we use tools and exercises to help you to increase your psychological flexibility - and resilience. These tools support you to make choices based on the things that truly matter to you and with ACT, we learn how to process our feelings, fears, thoughts and limiting beliefs.
When we work with ACT, we start from the point that a life without difficulty, sadness and pain does not exist. Instead of trying to answer questions like: 'How can I stop feeling these things that make my life difficult?', we seek to discover how you deal with these things when they occur. Do you acknowledge and work with these parts of your life, or do you try to change them and fight against them?
We look at what matters to you, then, over subsequent coaching sessions, we work to identify the internal and external factors that get in the way of doing what matters. Once we've done this, we learn new ways to deal with them.
In our coaching sessions, we use metaphors and exercises to practice new ways of thinking and doing. We get to the heart of what matters and help you to find your path.
£50.00 per session
Free initial telephone or online session
Each session costs £50 and this includes any worksheets, recordings or other information you may be sent after our time together. Coaching sessions last around 60 minutes and take place via Zoom or by telephone.
I usually suggest that you commit to a minimum of three sessions so that you can make the most of the coaching process. Depending on your situation, some clients prefer to have weekly sessions, while others have sessions on a fortnightly or monthly basis. We can discuss this when we meet.
If cost is a barrier to you accessing coaching, a concessionary rate is available. Please let me know if this is the case.
