Belinda Raitt, ICF accredited Coach with MA (Hons) Psychology
I've been practising as a leadership, career, change and business coach since 2011. I have a Masters in Psychology from the University of Edinburgh too. I used to work in London as a headhunter and psychometric tester, helping to build and develop management teams and leaders in FTSE businesses. I've always been fascinated by human behaviour and motivation, how teams and individuals interact, and what leadership skills are needed to make someone successful.
I was born in France and lived in five different countries while I was growing up, which has given me an insight into different cultures. I know what it's like to have to adapt to different environments and be self-sufficient. I started my own business, About Talent, when I was made redundant from a corporate career in London. I've also been through a divorce. So I know a thing or two about change, starting again, corporate life, setting up and running a business, making it happen and doing what you enjoy!
I firmly believe that everyone has a talent, and I make it my mission to help you find yours, or develop it further if you already know what your talent is. I practise goal-orientated coaching, with some NLP and other techniques mixed in. I work by helping you to uncover and truly understand your strengths, likes, needs and values, and how being true to them will help you to shine and be happy in your life and work. I love seeing clients develop a renewed confidence and sense of purpose.
I also provide more practical business coaching and mentoring for freelancers and small business owners, helping you to work out a plan for the business and the future, what's important for you, and how to achieve a good work-life balance. As with all coaching though, the agenda is set by you, the client, and the hard work and self-discovery comes from you. As your coach, I'm here to help guide you to find the answers that work for you.
I offer a career coaching package that includes help with writing your CV and LinkedIn profile, support with job hunting and applications, and coaching to prepare you for interview, building your confidence and presentation skills.
Training, qualifications & experience
I'm a fully qualified leadership coach with over 90 hours of ICF-accredited training under my belt. I also hold an NLP qualification. As a member of the International Coach Federation, I have to adhere to a strict code of Ethics. I graduated with an MA (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Edinburgh which gives me good insight into how people react and interact with each other.
I've been coaching since 2011. I have experience working with people who have been made redundant; startups and small businesses; executives in big corporates; women who want to change career after having children; people who are stuck; independent business owners; people going for promotion; graduates just starting out; men and women who want to spend more time with their families; job hunters; master jugglers; freelancers; team leaders; managers; heads of companies; and everything in between!

Other areas of coaching I deal with
I also specialise in new business startups, working with freelancers, and entrepreneurs, people who are thinking about setting up their own business. I help you to develop your dreams and ideas into a fully-fledged venture.
I often work with women particularly, who choose to start up a business to fit around the needs of their family, rather than go back to work in their previous corporate career, and help them work out ways to have a more flexible life and not feel guilty about it!
I charge per individual session, with a discount on block bookings of 6 or more sessions. I also offer a 4-session career coaching package that includes help with (re)writing your CV and LinkedIn profile.
I allow 1.5 hours per coaching session, and usually suggest a free initial call so that I can find out a bit more about you and what your aims are, and give you the chance to ask me questions about how we'd work together through the coaching process, and to see if you'd like to work with me!
I have recently set up a coaching retreat in Portugal, Relaxscape offering private, corporate, or group retreats based around coaching in nature. Spending time in this beautiful, peaceful setting helps to bring a different perspective to the issues you are trying to clarify and is a powerful way to make those change shifts.
