About me
Hello, I'm Bea! I appreciate you stopping by!
I specialise in coaching actors, performers and creative career-driven women. I'll help you reconnect to your spark and navigate your career and life with confidence, self-love, and authenticity.
I’ve spent 7+ years supporting professional actors, performers and creative career-driven women to do what they love. I'll help you tap into your strengths so you can boldly navigate the adventure of balancing your career and personal life with confidence and purpose.
Here are some of the things I help actors + performers with every day:
🎭 How can I find the ‘right’ agent and get more quality acting opportunities?
🎭 I want to fall back in love with acting. I don’t love what I do anymore; it’s become a chore.
🎭 ’ve lost my focus and direction. I want to feel motivated again and know where I'm heading.
🎭 I often wonder if it’s too late to achieve what I dreamed of. Should I just do a ‘normal’ job?
🎭 I want to have more confidence stepping into the audition room, or when I'm self-taping. I want to start landing more quality acting jobs.
🎭 I want to stop comparing myself to my peers and focus my energy on creating a career I love.
Here are some of the things I help creative career-driven women with everyday:
💃 How do I get out of my own way?
💃 I want to prioritise my needs and learn how to say no.
💃 I want to feel confident and show up unapologetically.
💃 I don’t know whether to have kids and time is running out.
💃 I want to support myself through perimenopause and beyond.
💃 I want to believe in myself again.
💃 I want to move forward; I’m not sure how, or even where to.
💃 I'm constantly living in fight or flight mode - it's exhausting.
Prior to training as a coach, I spent 12+ years working in the performing arts and entertainment industries at some of the UK’s top producing theatres, with high-level producers and directors, both in the West End and at leading producing theatres across the country. My long-term partner is an actor, so I have personal experience and a deep understanding of the daily challenges of working in the performing arts and entertainment industries (basically, I get it!)
Drawing from my professional background and many years of experience coaching, I will get to the core of your issues quickly. Clients worldwide have found that, as a result of my coaching, they are more self-assured, balanced, and authentic and have more joy and success in their career and life.
If you’re ready to step out from the wings and into the (spot)light, I’d love to hear about your situation and the life and career you'd like to create.
Feel free to message me directly on this directory, or drop me an email bea@powerfulpause.org.
I look forward to hearing from you.

About me
I’m a certified coach, yoga teacher and facilitator based in the market gardens of Bedfordshire (just north of London, UK) where I live with my actor-partner. I’ve always had a passion for telling and sharing stories which led me to spend twelve years marketing some of the UK’s top producing theatres. In 2017, work-related stress and burnout forced me to take a (powerful) pause, which led to me retraining as a coach, and later a yoga teacher.
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in the spring of 2020, I decided to take action. I set up a global life coaching network to provide free coaching to actors and performers. The network collectively coached over 600 actors and performers offering out more than 1,700 coaching hours. In 2020, I founded the ‘Wellbeing Series’, an award-nominated wellbeing programme which I launched at Spotlight (Europe’s leading casting platform) to empower actors and performers to navigate the mental health challenges of the acting profession. I also created ‘Powerful Pause’ a meditation podcast series for actors, which is one of the most downloaded in the industry.
I am passionate about making time to pause and reflect, prioritising what matters most, and leading with compassion towards ourselves and others. That's why my business is called Powerful Pause! Whether I’m coaching, facilitating, leading a yoga class, or running a retreat, this heart-centred approach is at the core of everything I do. When we lead from our hearts, we make others feel seen, heard and valued. I believe this is one of the greatest gifts we can give each other.
Some other things - I love spending time in Bali, Indonesia (it's my happy place) and I have an immense love of wild swimming, knitting and animals of all shapes and sizes. I am currently learning how to make clothes with an actual sewing machine which requires A LOT of patience!

Testimonials
“Bea has helped me overcome a big hurdle and make some very big changes that will benefit my career - getting a new agent, reassessing my side hustles, and taking steps towards putting on my own play. I felt very seen right from the start, and I truly felt how invested Bea was in my success and my journey.”
Kara, Actor (London, UK)
“Coaching with Bea has been life changing. I felt so heard and seen whilst being coached. No matter how I felt, I always came away from every session feeling refreshed, positive and inspired. Bea is brilliant at what she does and my time with her has exceeded every expectation.”
Harry, Actor (London, UK)
“Coaching with Bea was genuinely joyful from start to finish - the accountability was exactly what I needed in order to move forward. I'm definitely not the same person I was when I first met Bea. Every week I now do at least one thing that moves me FORWARD. I also recognise when change is needed and am no longer afraid to ask for it.”
Andrew, Actor (UK)
“Bea genuinely appreciates what it takes to be an actor. She understands it’s not just a job with a planned trajectory but that it can be a sacred non-linear path which holds darkness, challenge and so much joy. Our work together gave me extraordinary bravery to approach all sorts of agencies I had previously felt were ‘out of my league’. I am very happy with my new agent and have had more acting opportunities as a result. Bea’s coaching made me feel nurtured and cared for in a way that is required in this tough industry.”
Jemma C, Actor (London, UK)
“I began life coaching to try and solve my crippling nerves in the audition room and it has solved that and so much more. Coaching has affected every part of my life and helped me regain the self belief I had lost. It’s been the best investment in myself I have ever made. Working with Bea has been an incredible experience and I feel very lucky I found her to be my coach. I look forward to seeing her for my sessions and I feel such passion and care from her which is a joy to be around. Her knowledge and understanding of performers makes our working relationship even easier and I would highly recommend her to anyone in the industry.”
Sarah Horton, Actor (London, UK)
“Bea helped me to find my true essence and unlock all the hidden truths I struggled to find by myself. She helped to unleash a stronger, more powerful side to me that I didn’t know existed. Bea has this innate ability to read someone. She knows, before knowing anything about the person, or their life experiences, almost exactly who they are. It’s a quality that is so invaluable in coaching.”
Grace Thorne, Actor (UK)
“I have found an inner peace within myself through working with Bea...it was like attending a spa to cleanse the internal self. I loved not knowing where it was going but always leaving on a high. It helped my mental health and enabled me to gain perspective on my relationships, including the one I have with myself.”
Nicole Gaskell, Actor (London, UK)
“Challenges are more manageable now and I see what I have to offer as something greater and worthy of putting out in the world. Bea’s coaching is extremely bright, open and warm. She is very intuitive and not afraid to ask the tough questions when necessary. She created a beautiful space for me to not feel self-conscious in my character, or my vulnerability.”
Eleanor Barr-Sim, Actor (London, UK)
“It was a joy to be coached by Bea. Her coaching was always a genuine and ‘bespoke’ conversation and I’m taking so many useful things away from it. I loved that Bea was able to think on her feet and adapt techniques, which was fantastic. She has a lot of warmth and instant understanding of very complex issues. I felt in good hands and was happy to share very personal issues.”
Mark Burghagen, Actor (UK)
