Hello, and congratulations on taking your first step towards making a positive change. I'm delighted that you're considering working with a coach. Having benefited from the support of some great coaches myself, I can attest to the power of coaching to change lives.
Am I the right coach for you?
A little bit about me to help you decide:
When someone asks ‘So what do you do?’, of the many answers I could give (I’m a Mum; I’m a runner; I’m a recovering chocoholic ), I tell them that I coach asset management.
I coach people to manage their most valuable asset – their health.
For many of us the pressure in modern society to do more, be more and have more is taking its toll. Just as we may send our bank accounts into overdraft to fund our material lifestyles, we often draw down against our health to keep up with our fast-paced physical lifestyles.
We spend long hours sitting at our desks and in front of screens, we turn to alcohol to switch us off and sugar and caffeine to switch us back on again. We skimp on sleep and exercise in order to meet deadlines and we send quick texts and Facebook messages as a guilty surrogate for spending quality time with our friends.
‘Stress’ has become a buzz word of our times. Some people wear ‘stressed out’ as a badge of honour, some perceive it as a sign of weakness. Only the more enlightened recognize it as a cue for change.
As a GP I’ve spent the last 17 years helping people who are suffering with stress. By the time people seek help, typically stress has not only caused them to suffer physical symptoms but has also affected their productivity and relationships both at home and at work. Sooner or later, if our lifestyle fails to support our health, our health fails to support our lifestyle and we are unable to achieve what really matters.
As with financial investments, health investments are unfortunately not guaranteed and sometimes life throws an obstacle in our paths which could not have been predicted or prevented. Although this often feels devastating – it is my belief that very few obstacles are completely insurmountable – although sometimes it can be necessary to take a different route to the desired destination.
My coaching clients vary in age and professional background but common to all is the notion that they don’t want stress, anxiety or other health issues to stand in their way. Some of my clients want to make changes before something gives, others have already experienced a health – related set back and want to figure out how to move forward again.
I combine my medical knowledge, with over 10 years teaching experience and my coaching skills (including motivational interviewing, solution focused therapy and cognitive behavioral coaching, positive psychology and group coaching) to help people to manage stress, and optimize health so that they can focus on achieving what really matters. And if they’re not sure what really matters, I can help with that too!
Thank you for reading this far.
If I’m not the coach you’re looking for, please feel free to share my details with anyone who might benefit from my help and please keep searching for a coach for yourself.
You’ve taken the step of visiting this website which means you’re already one step further ahead than you were yesterday. I wish you the very best of luck with the rest of your journey.

Due to the confidential nature of coaching I don't publish the full names of clients who kindly give testimonials. However here are some examples of what previous clients have said:
Having regular coaching sessions for 6 weeks helped me during my sudden redundancy period, so I did not to feel isolated, with Azzy’s coaching back up I could turn my frustration into creativity energy. In her presence I could allow my feelings emerge as it came up, because I felt safe. Then let them go without holding back. I had the feeling of ‘emotional clear up’ that increased my productivity, wellbeing and happiness.
Asmara is extremely client focused with equally good attention to detail and genuine desire to help people make positive changes in their lives. She is very approachable, respectful and determined!
I really found my short time with Asmara invaluable. She really helped me at a time that I had overbearing anxiety problems. She helped me to make small steps that threw me out of a negative spiral that I had been in, and helped get me life back on track again. A year later I've just gone back for a quick refresher, and in just 3 sessions I feel happier and more resilient than I've felt in a long time. Thanks Asmara!
