Archna Tharani : Parent Coach ADHD Specialist
I work with parents of children with ADHD in managing the challenges of raising a child with additional needs. I have a 10-year-old daughter with ADHD so know only too well the impact this has on family functioning. I have transformed our family life by gaining a deep understanding of ADHD and using positive psychology coaching methods. I am now on a mission to enable all parents to fully understand ADHD and by using strengths, building resilience, and having the right mindset to overcome challenges to truly flourish.
Parent coaching will support you in creating the strategies to improve the relationship with your child which is critical in managing ADHD. I will also provide knowlede and the latest research available about ADHD as understanding the condition is essential in its treatment. A multimodal approach is required which may consist of medication and behavioural interventions at home and at school. You may be managing all the professionals involved in the care of your child and constantly liaising with school. But all this may take a toll on your wellbeing and that can affect the wellbeing of your child. Our children can be both a sponge and a mirror to our emotional state so getting the right support for yourself is equally important for your needs as well as your family.
I will work with you empathetically, using a positive psychology approach to create a positive family environment alongside improving your wellbeing. I provide a supportive environment and use evidence based tools to enhance your self awareness which is the first step to transforming your life.
