I decided to become a Life Coach firstly because I genuinely believe I can help you and secondly because I know the approach works having been coached myself.
This is a powerful process. It has enabled me to identify areas of my life in which I was trying (unsuccessfully) to create change, and then with my coaches support and challenges explore how I might make those changes happen, step by step, including the fears and barriers that had prevented me from putting them into action. So... having been through the process I have moved forward in a couple of key areas of my life and I would like to have the opportunity of helping you too.
What is coaching?
Coaching is a solution focused process that helps you identify the areas of your life you want to change, helps you to determine the changes you want to make and how you might go about making them. During the process it's also very important to identify the blocks and barriers that have prevented you from making that change in the past and how you might overcome them this time.
It's a powerful process because it will enable you to see and recognise the, sometimes, self-defeating behaviours and thought patterns that have constrained the outcomes of the past.
For me, Counselling is about the Why? (why do I need to change) and Coaching is is about the What? (what do I need to do to change).
It's really important that you feel you can trust and work closely with whoever you choose so I offer a free session, a no risk opportunity to see whether or not we're a good fit and we both feel we could form a 'coaching partnership'.I have a room in my house specially setup for coaching sessions but I can also coach in other environments if you don't want to come to me. I'm fairly flexible and can usually find a mutually convenient venue. In the past, I have travelled up to central London.
I generally find that an hour's session works best and most people come for between 4-6 sessions either weekly or fortnightly.
I offer a broad range of coaching reflecting my broad range of life experiences and the broad challenges of modern work and home life My training and experience in Counselling also enables me to bring an additional dimension and insight into the Coaching process

As you would hope I have full membership of a professional body (The Association for Coaching) so all of the safeguards are there too that you would expect.
I have been trained in both the Person-Centred and Cognitive-Behavioural approaches and together, I feel, they make a good fit.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a Certificate in Coaching, Primary Certificates in Performance Coaching and Stress Management, Diplomas in Counselling, Psychology and Management Studies. I have also completed a Certificate in Coaching Skills.
I have many years experience of helping people through Counselling and through coaching in the workplace and with clients.
Areas of coaching I deal with
£55 per hour. £50 per hour if you book ahead and pay for 4 sessions or more.
