PGCE, ILM Level 7 Coaching and Mentoring

About me

I specialise in working with both adults and teenagers to find ways to increase wellbeing, manage negative thoughts, and look for solutions when life feels overwhelming.

Working with teenagers

I have 3 children of my own and my role as Head of Drama in a secondary school for 13 years, has enabled me to develop close professional relationships with teenagers. I am passionate about supporting our young people to find their place in this ever increasingly complex world. I have created a one to one coaching programme specifically for teenagers, tailored to their needs but supporting them in finding practical ways to deal with anxiety, develop a positive mindset and tackle feelings of overwhelm. I have coached many teenagers both in school and out of school, including Looked After Children and young people with special educational needs and it is wonderful to see the positive impact coaching has on their lives.

"Coaching has helped me a lot, not just with learning how to be me, but also how to control my emotions." (Year 8 secondary school student)

"Talking about accepting the anxiety and not letting it take over was really helpful." (Year 10 secondary school student)

I am happy to coach both virtually and face to face and there is no obligation to commit to six sessions - often a huge amount can be achieved in just a few sessions.

Working with adults

Perhaps you feel you're at a crossroads and need some help to clarify which direction is best for you? Perhaps you're struggling to feel in control of a busy life and would like some support to find ways to simplify things? You could be struggling with feelings of anxiety and overwhelm and would like to feel more positive about life. Whatever it is that you feel, my coaching sessions will help you gain perspective, find practical ways to navigate through challenging times, and feel reassured and more confident about the way forward.

"Thank you Alice for creating an environment that enabled us to talk openly and honestly, and guiding me to a place where I can remove my negative thoughts, and most importantly be confident in who I am." (Operations Manager)

One to one sessions can be delivered face to face or virtually.

Workshops and Webinars for organisations

You may be interested in finding ways to support your employees' wellbeing. I tailor my workshops and webinars to suit the needs of your company and staff, though possible topics could include; Managing Mindset, Dealing with Change, Coping with Stress and Anxiety, Living a Happier Life, and Challenging the Inner Critic.

"The webinars have been really well received and have added great personal and professional value. It's great that you have been able to tailor them to our business so thank you for your support." (Head of Company)

Public Speaking Training

I am fully trained to deliver Public Speaking and Presentation Skills development. You may want some support to develop your presence in meetings, build confidence in your ability to present to others, find your authentic style when public speaking, or create impact when delivering online meetings and workshops. My sessions are fun, interactive and combine practical presenting techniques with coaching tools, to prepare both the body and mind for these challenges.

"Alice is a fantastic presentation skills coach who has a knack for bringing the best out of people. Her experience of working as a drama teacher and coach gives her a broad skill set when working with clients of all ages to help them build confidence in public speaking and develop strong communication skills. I wholeheartedly recommend her as a trainer and coach." (Managing Director)
