About me

I work with people to be their best and to live life fully and wholeheartedly. Through coaching I aim to empower people to realise their aspirations and move towards where they want to be in their life.

As a coach I offer the space, time and support for people to create the confidence, energy, motivation, and awareness to take action and to get to where they want to be.

Who I work with

I support people in all aspects of their life focusing on finding ways to live in a way that allows them to be their best. In all my coaching I work with clients to create the confidence and belief to find and follow their own answers. In nurturing this belief, I have worked with clients to:

  • Create confidence and self-esteem
  • Make and fulfil life-changing decisions
  • Unlock their authentic leadership potential
  • Pursue a career change
  • Overcome a setback
  • Navigate change
  • Positively change their lifestyle
  • Achieve a life goal
  • Find balance in their life
  • Discover direction and motivation

My approach

As a coach I  meet people where they are on their journey, to enable them to take control and to navigate to where they want to be with awareness, clarity and motivation.

My coaching approach is founded on the belief that the person being coached has the answers and not me.

A coaching session begins with this belief.

I will not advise or offer answers but provide the time and space through listening and asking questions the person being coached to find their answers.

My coaching programmes

I offer coaching in two ways online or over the phone:

  1. A three-month structured programme of fortnightly coaching
  2. Regular 1-hour 1-to-1 coaching sessions either weekly, fortnightly or monthly

I work with people from all walks of life. While I have recently coached many clients aged 16-35 at the point of making big life decisions, my goal is to coach anyone looking to unlock their unique greatness to be and bring their best to the world.

Prior to all coaching relationships I provide an initial 1 hour introductory call to explore and experience coaching with me and to see if it is right for you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have over 4 years of coaching experience. Working with people from all backgrounds.

I completed the MOE Foundation assessed coaching training in 2017. The training is recognised by the Association of Coaching.

Since 2020 I have trained and supported volunteer coaches at Universify Education, a charity that uses coaching and residentials to empower young people from underrepresented and low socio-economic backgrounds to fulfil their potential through education. I have also run coaching training in other organisations and charities.

Member organisations

The Association is made up of a number of different membership categories, e.g. Associate Member (AMAC), Member (MAC), Accredited Member (AC Accred), with the different categories standing for different levels of training and experience. Accredited Members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

The Association has a Code of Ethics & Good Practice and a Complaints Procedure.

Additional information

I offer an initial 1 hour session free of charge to get to know you and to hear what you want to explore with coaching.

I believe coaching should be available to anyone, regardless of their financial position. Although a one-hour session is typically £150-250 the cost may vary to consider each individual’s situation and so there is no set price. While I provide pro bono coaching, typically through charitable programmes, I believe paying for coaching is an important part of the commitment an individual makes to themselves in embarking on the coaching process.

Further information

"I can go into these coaching sessions with a cloud of feeling and uncertainty, and come out with clarity and intention about what I need to aim for, and how I might better embody the person I want to be. Before coaching, it was easy to feel like I was facing challenges without a clear path of progress in front of me, but these sessions have helped me to not just map out the journey, but to help me feel supported and recognised on the path I want to take."

"When I had my coaching session with Alex, I was feeling overwhelmed by changes to my workload and job role during the pandemic, unsure of what was to come, and what I wanted. I went into the session with limited expectations as I hadn’t done much coaching before.

Alex has an incredible ability to make you feel at ease, and create an atmosphere where you can be honest and open.

Immediately after the session I felt more positive about having choices and decisions, something I felt like I’d lost, but I think I felt the real benefit of my time with Alex weeks after, being about to reflect, do some research, put some of our actions into practice and feel the confident to make some of the changes I needed. Almost a year on, I reflect on my coaching session as one of the most important things I’ve done for my career, as it made me commit time to work out what I really wanted to be doing, and have the confidence to seek out opportunities."
