Hampered by unwanted thoughts?

Our thoughts can be controlled. We may find that life’s experiences give us poor thoughts. With determination and training this can be changed. Life can be spoiled by negatives. What do you know about your thoughts? Thoughts and emotions are connected.
What are emotions and why do negative emotions affect us so much?
First let us look at feelings. These are the physical capacity to experience something as it is. Feeling is one of the five senses along with sight, smell, hearing and taste. Emotions are movement within consciousness. They create drama and are part of a story about a situation. We are a body–mind and every cell has an intelligence. Emotions do affect us and are linked with our subconscious. It is this that we need to take charge of.
Where do we start?
Sitting in quiet contemplation or meditation can still the mind and bring up insights. If you are inexperienced, sit quietly and observe a lit candle intensely with no thought. You will begin to find yourself in a place of calm and complete stillness. This is a type of meditation and you will probably not find it difficult and the benefits great.
Thinking takes energy. It comes from images. Try watching your thoughts over a short period of time, maybe five or 10 minutes, and track them. What do you notice? Are you surprised in any way?
To create what we desire we can see or visualise it in the mind. This becomes thought and from this follows action. Prove this to yourself. Maybe take your mind back to when you awoke and then got up this morning. What were your thoughts? What action followed?
When you can see what you want in life you have thoughts about this.
Take action to create this, to make it happen. Our minds are limitless and we can have anything in life that we want. It is about action, disciplining the mind, determination, confidence, self-belief and self- love. To increase confidence, just think of all your successes no matter how small. Think of all those things that you have done that validate your existence. Look into the mirror, see your eyes and appreciate deeply the person looking back at you. Remembering that we are all unique beings.
