Take some time out for yourself and start a writing journal!

We will be focusing more on the written word rather than on crafting, but still producing a beautiful journal – while at the same time looking after our own well-being, taking a rejuvenating break, and working through some of our individual issues and concerns.

You will learn how to use various types of writing prompts, and have a go at lots of different kinds of writing - including prose, found poems, haiku, descriptive writing from nature and reflection.

Unlike an art journal, this writing journal will definitely emphasise the written word. But you will still create a beautiful journal, as we will include some decorative elements too - some colour application and some stamping effects.

You can easily continue this project after the weekend itself, and you will reap the benefits - of increased self-knowledge and of personal expression - for as long as you like afterwards.

There will be lots of useful ‘journaling prompts’ to help you generate content and enable you to engage with your journal right away. We will also be working with quotations, several types of ‘found poems’, song lyrics, haiku, descriptive prose, and dialogue (with or without thumbprint cartoons!) amongst other techniques.

I think there will be something for everyone in this weekend workshop, which ultimately will be a gift of self-care for yourself.

We will be working in the chalet in Wytham Woods. Please bring outdoor clothing and a packed lunch. All writing and art materials, hot drinks, and biscuits will be supplied.

Please book on my website anotheryou.coachesconsole.com.
