The frantic nature of 21st century living can wear you out or make you over-react. What if there was a way to take control?

Mindfulness is another word for attention. When you cultivate awareness, you create a direct, intuitive knowing of what you are doing while you are doing it. And when you do that, it frees your mind from burden. You live a happier life.

Wouldn’t you like to pay more attention to your thoughts and emotions, focus your attention, trust your intuition, suppress knee-jerk reactions and be more flexible in your thinking? You can do all this and more when you practise mindfulness.

Research has proven that mindfulness can:

  • calm the mind and develop clarity of thought
  • enhance wellbeing
  • boost working memory
  • help manage emotions better
  • increase awareness
  • improve cognitive flexibility and creativity
  • enrich relationships
  • reduce stress-related illnesses
  • increase kindness to self and others
  • enhance performance
  • create a calm environment.

All for as little as 10-20 minutes practice per day. Mindfulness is a powerful way to invest in yourself and the community at large.

Come and see what it is all about at the taster session and find out about the six week course.

What you will learn at this taster:

  • What is stress?
  • How mindfulness can help you cope better with stress?
  • Two mindfulness practices: moment-to-moment mindfulness and how to learn mindfulness beyond this taster session
  • Resources.
