This two-day course will build on your already great coaching skills by:

  • Increasing your connections with others.
  • Adding more spontaneity to your work.
  • Heightening your active listening skills.
  • Enable you to be more spontaneous.
  • Developing your problem solving skills.
  • Teach you to use storytelling/metaphors creatively and without pre-planning.
  • Give you an array of exercises that can be used for team building or facilitation purposes.

On top of all this, you will have tremendous fun and laughter which will increase your well-being and mental health.

Geoff and I have been having fun with comedy improvisation for a couple of years and I myself perform with a group called '3 Placebos' at local jams. I also have trained coaches, NLP practitioners and NLP trainers in improvisation skills to use with their clients in group coaching or facilitating meetings.

Laughter has several positive effects on a person's mental health. Here are some key benefits:

  • Reduces stress: Laughter decreases the level of stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline, helping to relieve tension and reduce stress.
  • Boosts mood: It triggers the release of endorphins, the body’s natural feel-good chemicals. Endorphins promote an overall sense of well-being and can temporarily relieve pain.
  • Enhances resilience: Regular laughter helps improve coping mechanisms, making it easier to deal with difficult situations and recover from setbacks.
  • Improves social connections: Laughter strengthens social bonds, enhances relationships, and can create a sense of belonging and community, which are crucial for mental health.
  • Reduces anxiety and depression: Laughter can significantly reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression by promoting relaxation and reducing stress.
  • Improves cognitive function: It can enhance mental functioning and increase creativity by stimulating both sides of the brain.
  • Enhances emotional regulation: Laughter helps people manage and express their emotions more effectively, leading to better emotional regulation.
  • Promotes relaxation and sleep: By reducing stress and anxiety, laughter can lead to improved sleep quality and help combat insomnia.
