Our children are told about visual, auditory and kinaesthetic processing but do they understand what this means in terms of how they learn best? Do you know how to help each child differently with their homework, spelling and reading, depending on which way they process? Find out how the way you process may influence how you ask them to do things so you get the result you want.
Do they want choices or do options confuse them; do no options annoy them? Do they think concept or detail? Detail will overwhelm a concept thinker and concept will overwhelm a detail thinker.
Do they think about what they do want or what they want to avoid? You may know that they feel anxious and don't want this, but do they know what they do want?
Do you have a child who likes to find fault, find the exceptions, argue? They may have a mismatch pattern. Teach them how to match to increase rapport and the ability to cope better with change and new experiences.
