Helping children overcome limiting beliefs

A limiting belief is a thought in your child or young person's head that is based on what they've been told, experienced, imagined or read, that is getting in the way of them achieving what they want in life.
Beliefs are not values. Just like believing in the tooth fairy or dare I say, Father Christmas, beliefs change as we grow up, learn more and have new experiences.
In this parenting chat, I will talk you through how to recognise limiting beliefs, how to respond when you encounter one in your child and how to help them overcome it and be their best in whatever they choose to focus on.
