This is a program to help you improve your confidence and reduce your inner criticism.

Yes, it is free for the initial cohorts! I'm gathering feedback so I'm looking for participants who are willing to tell me what they liked and disliked during the program. I've run one cohort during February; the next one - with a shiny new platform - will begin at the end of March

More details on the program:

Most of us are familiar with that persistent voice inside – the inner critic. It’s the one that focuses in on every flaw, magnifies potential risks, and thrives on negativity. This tendency is deeply rooted in human survival instincts - spotting danger was essential, while focusing on nice things was not. That’s why a single critical comment can overshadow the fifty compliments you received.

Sometimes, the inner critic serves a useful purpose. Maybe you really should spend less time scrolling or eat healthier – most of us should, after all! Usually, it means well - it's there to protect you. But it often does a horrible job - like a coach who yells at his athletes, instead of providing useful insight. So - if your critic is constantly nagging regardless of what you do, or if it's more hurtful than helpful - it’s time for a change. Imagine having a kind, helpful voice encouraging you daily. Nice, right?

And - yes! - cultivating that inner ally doesn’t cost a thing. I'm running my first cohorts and looking for feedback from participants. So a program that would typically cost hundreds, is free to early birds.

Who is this program for?

This program is designed for anyone who would like to feel more confident, with less internal negativity, but certain groups may find it especially helpful:

  • Leaders and managers – If you push yourself relentlessly, always striving for perfection, or feel the weight of impostor syndrome - your inner critic might be at the wheel. It can drive you to overwork, isolate yourself, or hold impossibly high standards that you’d never expect of others.
  • Women – Many women contend with harsh inner voices that focus on appearance, warn against taking risks, or convince them to stay in bad situations. Whether it’s subtle self-doubt or outright self-sabotage, you deserve a kinder narrative.
  • Younger people – Teens and those in their twenties often grapple with low confidence, stress, and the overwhelming pressure of navigating life’s transitions. Social anxiety, career uncertainty, and toxic environments can amplify negative self-talk. Learning to soften that inner voice can help you navigate this challenging stage with more confidence and clarity.

If any of this resonates, regardless of your background or life stage, why not give it a try?

What is the inner critic program?

This is a structured, four-week self-study program designed to help you rewire your brain, quiet the inner critic, and foster a more positive inner dialogue. With just a few minutes of daily practice, you’ll explore techniques to shift your mindset and improve your relationship with yourself.

The program builds on the principles of the ROAD framework: Reflect, Observe, Assess, Disarm. Over the course of four weeks, we’ll dive deeper into each of the four ROAD steps, using many tools and exercises to transform your inner narrative. Here's how it works:

Program overview:

  • Benchmark surveys – At the start and end of the program, you’ll complete a brief survey to assess the current state of your inner critic and its impact on your life - so you can see the improvement.
  • The ROAD framework – This has four steps. After doing a few activities for each step, you'll review to consolidate what you’ve learned and identify practices you’ll continue using.
    • Step 1: Reflect – Explore the origins of your inner critic and how it developed over time.
    • Step 2: Observe – Notice when and how the critic shows up in your daily life.
    • Step 3: Assess – Evaluate the accuracy and tone of the messages your critic delivers.
    • Step 4: Disarm – Experiment with additional tools and strategies to quiet that critical voice.
  • Activities – Some people get through all the activities in a month by doing them daily - but no worries if you need to pause occasionally. Typically, a daily activity will include:
    • Question – Reply to a question, to help you better understand and recognise your critic
    • Tool – Practice a specific technique to disarm the critic. Some tools will span multiple days, while others will be one-off.
    • Check-in – Answer a single survey question to track how your inner dialogue felt that day - takes seconds, and lets you see how you're tracking over time.
