Weight-loss products not doing their job

A survey by consumer watchdog Which? has shown that supposed healthy, low fat alternatives are in fact hardly any better for you than the 'full fat' version, reports The Telegraph.

Which? analysed the fat, sugar and calorie levels in brands designed for weight-loss and compared them with the traditional produces, and found their to be little difference. In some cases, the weight-loss products were worse, for example Kellogg's Special K contain 3g more sugar than Kellogg's Cornflakes.

The head of for Which? services research said: "If you're looking for a New Year quick-fix to shed a few pounds, weight-loss products aren't the answer."
