Life coaches to work with law firms
Many law firms on the South Coast are collaborating with life coaches to help people through divorce without ending up in court, reports a press release on PR Inside.
The technique was first used in the US and Canada, but it's hoped it will become more common over here as an alternative way to solving disputes. Working with life coaches helps to deal with the emotional issues first, away from the court room. Hopefully this means that some of the bitter court battles that take place can be avoided, and each party to work out exactly what they want in a calm and amicable way.
Family lawyer Deborah Leask, partner of Ellis Jones solicitors said: “Collaborative practice is an alternative way for divorcing or separating couples to work together as a team with trained professionals, including life coaches, to resolve disputes respectfully without going to court.”
