I am a highly qualified coach and mediator with 22 years experience helping clients move forward, especially in their working lives, but also their personal lives because one often affects the other, solving practical or mind-set issues, and focusing on solutions.

Former Corporate Life - Prior to 2008 (when I set up my own business to do coaching and mediation full-time) and for more than a decade, I headed up teams of professional staff and sat on the Corporate Management Team. In the same organisation, I was leader of the volunteer staff-to-management engagement team covering 600 staff - I saw and dealt with everything, coaching, mentoring and mediating whatever key issues came along. I did this for individuals (staff, middle and top management), whole teams and the entire organisation.
Current Coaching Life - Since 2008, both individuals and businesses hire me for all sorts of work-related issues and problems. Individual clients find that it really helps to talk about certain work issues privately to an expert and neutral person. Businesses use me to coach and mediate staff, managers, partners and board-level executives, ranging from very small firms to household name multi-nationals. I find that people are people, whatever situation they are in and whatever level they are at.
Private Life - I've been married for over 27 years and brought up two children, one at university and one who has already graduated. I have experienced some really difficult times in my life and come through the other side having learned a lot - being a man of faith has helped. I enjoy reading and studying, and walking along the beautiful Thames Path, and have been known to coach some people in that environment!
Training, qualifications & experience
Taken an integrated and comprehensive suite of university accredited degree-level coaching certificates (together, the 'Advanced Certificate in Psychological Coaching'), taught by two top-class coaching psychologists: Professor Stephen Palmer, co-'inventor' of cognitive behavioural coaching (CBC - the model now used most by coaching psychologists in the UK); and Dr Siobhain O'Riordan, Chair of the International Society for Coaching Psychology. The modules, all rooted in CBC, included the following:
- Certificate in Coaching (covering more traditional coaching methods, with CBC).
- Certificate in Psychological Coaching (CBC with other psychological models).
- Certificate in Performance Coaching.
- Certificate in Assertion and Communication.
- Certificate in Occupational and Organisational Stress Management.
Professional Member of the Association for Coaching with coaching education and experience to their highest level of 'Master Coach'. Also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
Personality & Psychometric Assessment Credentials
Accredited by the European Federation of Psychologists’ Associations – awarded their European Test User Certificate.
Member of the British Psychological Society (BPS - UK chartered body for psychologists) and on their register of competent persons for undertaking personality and ability assessments (formerly Level A & B).
BPS qualification in personality: theories, differences, issues, assessment.
Trained and accredited in a wide range of market-leading psychometric instruments to help assess people and to fast-track coaching support, e.g. for Emotional Intelligence, resilience, team relationships and team roles, strengths, personality types and traits, personal values, ‘dark side’ behaviours and conflict styles, plus a range of ability tests. Psychometric training was by Roy Childs and Dr Mark Parkinson, acknowledged specialists/experts in this field, Chartered Occupational Psychologists, and authors of several psychometric instruments.
Triple Accredited Mediator with extensive experience in conflict resolution for:

Studied psychology at Oxford University.
From my former corporate 'life', I gained an honours degree, post-graduate diploma and chartered professional exams. I also got a Diploma in Management and completed a comprehensive and integrated suite of leadership development courses in-house.
