Profile

Kate French is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) and personal development trainer working with individuals and businesses who wont settle for less in life and work. Since March 2002 she has introduced a person centred style of coaching into the workplace which encourages self exploration, decision making, deeper understanding of self along with a clear focus for the individual on not only what they want to achieve, but who they want to be whilst achieving it. As a member of the International Coaching Federation she gained her Associate Certified Coach (ACC) accreditation in 2004, demonstrating 250 hours plus of coaching. Kate set up Kapow Coaching in 2006 to bring together her coaching skills alongside other key training skills from NLP, drama, customer care and managing change.

When not running workshops the rest of Kates time coaching involves working directly with company employees ranging from supporting new supervisors, leadership coaching for managers to providing personal and professional development for Directors. Previous coaching and workshop clients include Edrington, Scottish Power and the Scottish Agricultural College, Historic Scotland, The National Libraries of Scotland and The Townhouse Group.

Since 2002 Kate has split her working time as a consultant and coach. She has written several training initiatives for tourism businesses including the Right Staff Handbook which has been promoted throughout Scotland and the Edinburgh Tourism Passport, a customer care pilot training booklet and workshop. In 2009 she worked alongside Historic Scotland to write, deliver and support an in-house train the trainer script, materials and workshop.

Kate has brought together her life experience, interest in personal development and business skills from project management, marketing, self employment full circle to provide Co-Active Coaching and mentoring for individuals and growing businesses.
