About me

Do you know where you want to go next with your life? Let me help you to know your own mind. Together we can :

  • explore who you are and what you need from your life;
  • find the clarity you need to choose the future you want;
  • learn how to bridge the gap between dreams and reality;
  • develop the self-belief you need to start the journey

"The work that I did with Christine completely opened my eyes to my own potential. I developed a real insight
into what I need in a role and in my life."

- (Carla Thomas)

"I called upon Chris Rigden during a particularly difficult time in my professional and personal life. Instead of
jumping to solutions, she helped me gain an understanding of my own personality, and how this affected the
way I reacted. I was then able to develop my own response to these situations."

- (Guy Bullen)

I work with my clients confidentially on matters of self-knowledge, work/life balance, and career development
or change. Most of my clients are in their 40s and 50s, rethinking what they want in life, but I work with all
ages of adults. As a personality type practitioner (Myers-Briggs/Jungian) I can offer extra insights into who you are and what makes you tick. Your *whole* type, not just an acronymn!

See my web site Insights for Change for more information.

About Me

Originally from the USA, I moved to the UK in 1974 to study Art, and stayed.

Prior to developing 'Insights for Change', I spent 20 years working in Information Technology, specialising in
User Experience Design (helping make technology easier for people to use). While there I did research into
Colour Blindness
and my work has been widely published and referenced. While there I was also trained as
a Leadership Coach and coached within the organisation for 4 years.

I've been studying Psychological Type theory since 1997, and qualified as a practitioner in 2002. I am currently
involved in the British Association for Psychological Type (BAPT) as Webmaster, and co-ordinator for the Careers & Occupations column in their journal TypeFace.

I have published three books of poetry, as well as having individual poems published in various places
over the years. Some of my poems are here online. I enjoy reading, baking (recipes here) and painting
(watercolour and oils, paintings here). My husband and I also spend quite a lot of time on our narrowboat, Grace.
