Profile

My professional background is in the NHS, where I coached middle and senior managers and professionals over many years through constant organisational change and development. I greatly enjoy helping people to explore, identify and reach their personal and professional goals.

The coaching process encourages people to take time to step back from day to day pressures to reflect and to clarify their objectives. My aim is to help coachees to reach a clearer understanding of themselves, their own situation and behaviour, and their priorities.

I see coaching very much as a journey, on which the coachee and I set out together, agree the chosen destination and identify landmarks along the way. We then meet up at intervals to review progress and check for any missed turnings that may get in the way of achieving the desired objectives.

I believe that coaching benefits both individuals and organisations. Above all, however, at its best and most effective, coaching should be fun!

Training, Qualifications & Experience

Since leaving the health service I have obtained a formal coaching qualification and have set up my own coaching practice, building on my practical experience of coaching in the workplace. I am an associate member of the Association for Coaching.

I offer face to face coaching, also - given the practicalities of living in the west of Cornwall! - coaching by telephone and e-mail. I am currently working with a range of clients, mainly across the public sector.
