Senior partner (Stuart) holds an NVQ Level IV in training & development including the C25 coaching unit in the industrial area of competence of stress management education and complementary health education. Stuart also holds an ASET Level 3 Lifeskills coaching award as well as a range of other related awards such as: ASET Level 4 Integrated Therapeutic Counselling. ASET levels 3 and 4 in Psychotherapy, ASET level 3 Grief and Bereavement Counselling, ASET Level 4 Competence in Social Work, ASET level 4 Social Work and Mental Health, ASET Level 4 Hypnotherapy, ASET Level 3 NLP Neuro Linguistic Programming. Stuart has a MSc Psychology.

Stuart has been in practice since 1993 and is a senior member of a range of organisations, and is professionally registered with others. He carries 5 million professional insurance, adheres to National Occupational Standards (in particular NOS Healing and NOS counselling) and is subject to ethical monitoring and supervision arrangements.

A full range of issues are assisted, including general and performance life coaching, general counselling and the specialised areas of: Stress management, Anger management, dyslexia issues, mindfulness training, cognitive behavioural training and Bipolar management.

General issues include: Confidence, performance, insomnia, depression, anxiety, fears, phobias, weight control, stopping smoking, mood swings, fear of the future, pain management, sports coaching, sports hypnosis, behavioural change.

Medical issues may be addressed subject to these remaining under the supervision of a medical professional, in which case we assist with the management of the condition. We never claim to treat or cure a medical issue. Weight loss can only be achieved as part of a sensible diet and exercise programme. We are not a substitute for medical attention.

A full range of training materials is used with clients, drawing on published and externally accredited practitioner training courses written by Stuart. These include level 5 Anger management, Level 4 Stress Management, Level 5 Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Level 4 Neuro Linguistic Therapy, Level 4 Holistic Therapy Practitioner. An additional range of mindfulness and counselling skills awards are awaiting accreditation.

Denise has been a therapist since 2005 and has completed level 4 training in life coaching, level 4 counselling and a range of complementary health awards in nutrition, herbalism, oriental diagnosis, crystal healing and diet at levels 3 and 4. She has extensive practical assessment and experience and is fully registered and insured.  She specialises in female counselling issues, coaching and complementary healing methods including crystal and colour healing.

Further Information

Colleague is also a qualified life coach and therapist, and offers life coaching, holistic counselling, nutritional therapy, energy therapies, kinesiology, crystal therapy, colour therapy, counselling and Reiki. She is also qualified with externally accredited awards (mainly ASET) and adheres to appropriate National Occupational Standards. She is also appropriately registered and insured. Same fees apply. Her speciality areas include moving on from abuse, and moving on from offending.

We are a complementary provider and we work alongside medical doctors. We do not diagnose, treat or cure medical conditions, although many conditions benefit from additional management techniques.

We remain up to date with the latest research, and to this end Stuart is an associate fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine (not a title or qualification) which permits regular professional knowledge updates and access to professional journals and research. Both practitioners are also continuing training and development, currently Stuart is undertaking two BA's and Denise a BSc. Both are also completing other university and externally accredited qualifications.

I (Stuart) am in favour of the voluntary regulation of counselling and psychotherapy, and am already a regulated hypnotherapist, being CNHC registered.
