I am a transformational life coach working with business and creative professionals who want to be able to answer the key questions:
“What do I want to achieve in my work and personal life?”
“What do I believe I can achieve at my best?”
“How can I accomplish that and who can help?”
If you're at a junction in your career - promotion, relocation, planning to return to work, or wanting to change what you are doing entirely - I may be able to help. Through my person-centered coaching, you'll be able to find the answers some of these questions you're asking yourself.
I'll give you the time and space to pause and to think about where you want to get to and how to get there. I don't believe in over-using textbook models; my approach is about building a relationship of trust and partnership. I can be challenging, and I'll push you further than you may be able to go on your own, but I will always be respectful and supportive.
I provide a flexible programme of coaching sessions, as well as a more open-ended coaching relationship.
Six-sixty - 6 sessions of 1 hour per session: face to face or via Skype
Four-ninety - 4 sessions of 90 minutes: face to face
Immersion - a series of sessions including a half-day workshop
Call-up - a flexible series of sessions over a 6-month period
Bespoke - this programme is completely customised
I work face to face in London and in Tunbridge Wells, and I also work via Skype.
My clients include business professionals in large organisations or smaller businesses, and those looking to develop new businesses. I also work with those in creative and design roles considering where and how they may be able to develop their careers.
I also have long experience with professional musicians, and helping those in permanent or freelance playing roles or in teaching is an area of specialism that I offer.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a Business and Marketing graduate and have a Diploma in Transformational Coaching from Animas. I am currently studying on a further course as an NLP and Hypnotherapy Practitioner.
In the first part of my career, I worked in marketing, sales and strategy roles for leading brands - Philips, IBM-Lotus, HarperCollins Publishers, and the BBC. I then moved into the agency 'world' and over the last 16 years, I have l been a Senior Client Partner and Head of Digital with leading brand, digital and communications agencies.
I believe very strongly that everyone has the right to wake up with a sense of excitement about the day ahead. I decided to move into coaching and mentoring because with my skills and experience I want to help people find their own unique purpose and to realise of their own individual presence in all they do.
In addition to my work in the commercial sector, with middle to senior managers and business start-ups, I have been very closely involved in classical music. I have been privileged to get to know musicians from the London professional orchestral scene, London musicals, and from the British Army bands. I believe this is an important area where coaching can benefit orchestra and band players, freelancers and music teachers.

I offer a flexible programme of coaching sessions as well as an open-ended coaching relationship. Fees are based on the programme you wish to follow. I do offer a limited number of concessions depending on circumstances.

The time when I needed coaching... but didn't get it
When I was twenty-eight, I was working for Philips Electronics and I had just been promoted to ‘Group Marketing Manager’. I had a new car, a big corner office and a team of eager, and more experienced, staff looking in at me, expecting me to lead them. And further down the corridor was a team of directors equally looking at me expecting me to perform and deliver.
I can still feel, inside, the mix of excitement and panic: “Is this really me?”, “Should I be here?”, “Is this where I actually what I want to do?”.
I’d been a graduate recruit 4 years earlier and was well into my second role as a Product Manager when I was spotted and subsequently put through a ‘fast-track’ programme. After a lot of testing, measuring and assessing I was ‘offered’ the much more senior job.
To be honest I didn’t really get a lot of say in it; everything moved very fast and I felt hugely flattered.
I continued at Philips (I would say successfully) for 4 more years after which I went on into other senior marketing, sales and strategy positions in both the UK and Internationally at Lotus-IBM, Harper Collins Publishers and the BBC. I then worked over the next fifteen plus years as a director in leading brand, design and digital and brand agencies. part of me still wonders what it would have been like, what else could I have done, should I have done, if I had had more time, and the opportunity and support to reflect and to take control?

It’s only more recently – through the experience of coaching and being coached – that I have discovered what I am really passionate about.
I believe that everyone has the right to wake up with a sense of excitement about the day ahead. I want to help individuals, in their working and personal lives, discover what they are passionate about and realise that through positive actions they can take to take control and follow where their heartstrings pull them.
I’ve been hugely privileged to have worked with a wonderful and diverse set of talented colleagues and clients from different disciplines and cultures. It’s always been my strong belief that people create and sustain the culture of the organisations they work in. Only organisations that are imbued with great cultures can produce great products and deliver valuable services that benefit the whole of society.
It’s now my time to help others find their passion so they can make a success of their lives and contribute to the success of the lives of others around them.
